Valve removed Mana Leak primarily to reduce “anti-fun” gameplay mechanics. Who was there to experience this blue rupture?

We had a dispute within our guild because our offlaner wanted to play Ogre, got to play it in the final, and we got smoked.
This was posted to our guild discord the following day. Is the crash out valid?

99% of the time it just steals farm from every teammate on the map and tickles the enemies for a who-gives-a-fuck amount of magic dmg

It’s like all heroes are cards, and the same card cannot be played twice.
