Yes, I know how slark ult works.

I saw your post and thought the build sounded cool, so I checked out a couple of the replays. This one in particular is 8757703212 where I noticed some weird stuff with you dewarding.

10:45 - you run into a creep wave, lose the ult buff but somehow know to run past the wave to put a sentry right on their obs

13:10 - you lose ult buff to being seen by the watcher, but as you’re taking the watcher, you move camera to the trees above you, right to an obs on the other side of the trees

14:45 - ok this one you can defo find with ult buff, but you’re already moving the camera back to put the sentry as the buff comes off

19:30 - you’re smoked, don’t lose the ult buff but insta find the ward

I don’t want you to be hacking, I genuinely liked the build but pls enlighten me as to what’s up with these dewards?? It’s not like you’re spamming sentries and getting lucky.
Man whoever came up with the edit is a genius! 🤣🤣🤣

Bebop - Reimagined

Hey everyone!

I am back with another fan art/redesign. This time I chose Bebop and completely reinvented him. Instead of a sci-fi construct that is a remain of the “Neon Prime” era, I imagined him as a diver corpse possessed by an underwater entity/spirit. The nautical theme suits quite well for his abilities too and in my opinion it also fits better with the occultism thematic that I love about the game! I also think the voice acting that is already there works well with for a mariner character. Anyways, I hope you like it! Also I wanted to thank you very much for the overall very positive and huge reception for my Vyper redesign, it means a lot!

Just as a reminder : I would love to work for Valve on Deadlock so if any Valve Devs like my work, my DMs and emails are open and I’m available for job opportunities, freelance, part-time, fulltime. I’m an experienced concept artist and art director.

Hey everyone!

Ive been lurking here for a bit and finally decided to post. I just got back into Dota2 after being away for about 3 years. Well life took me down a very different path and i spent that time in prison here in Philippines.

Coming back to the game feels surreal. Everything is familiar but also completely different at the same time. New heroes, reworked mechanics, map changes, etc. It honestly feels like im learning the game all over again.

Back then, i used to play almost every day and now im just trying to keep up without getting flamed too hard.

But more than that, playing again feels grounding. During those years, i had a lot of time to think about my life, my choices, and what i wanted moving forward. Being able to sit down, queue up and just focus on something i used to love. It means more than i expected.

I guess im posting because im curious.

-Has anyone else here returned to Dota after a long life changing break?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been playing Dota for a while and one thing that always bugged me was not knowing who used the Glyph of Fortification — especially when it gets wasted at a questionable time.

So I built a small web tool where you can enter a match ID and it shows:
- Which players on each team used glyph and how many times
- The exact game time each glyph was pressed
- A timeline view alongside building destructions so you can see the context
No login required — just paste a match ID.

Still pretty early stage so I’d love feedback:
- Is this actually useful to anyone else or am I the only one who obsesses over bad glyphs?
- Any features you’d want to see added?
- Is the UI clear enough or confusing?
Would appreciate any thoughts. Happy to answer questions about how it works too.

Just got added in the small patch that dropped today. I posted about this on the forums and I saw someone else suggested here too so I’m happy to see.

Another change is that Vitality investment tree got tweaked to round numbers (4.8K spike is now 590 instead of 588) and Drifter now runs on fours when he ults. These are the only changes I’ve found

I now realize Herald is not a rank.

It is a different dimension governed by forces beyond MMR, logic, or human comprehension.

Never in my life have I seen players so free from concepts such as map awareness, objectives, or fear.

I watched our Anti-Mage buy Battle Fury at minute 42, immediately blink into five enemies, die without casting Mana Void, and calmly type “team?” as if betrayed by destiny itself.

Our Lion saved Finger of Death for so long I believe he intended to carry it into the next match.

My team avoided every single one of them with incredible consistency, choosing instead to walk blindly into the exact areas we had zero vision of.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Pumodi. I am a video game composer and back in 2015 I made a music pack of Chinese themed music for the New Bloom update. It was a project I did on a whim literal days before the deadline and it only got accepted because the response on Reddit was so enthusiastic. There wasn’t officially support for music packs in the workshop tools at the time so I was very lucky to have this happen.

I wasn’t making a ton of money at the time so the amount I made from sales of my music pack helped stabilize me and my wife, allowed me to help pay for our wedding, and set me up with a portfolio piece that impressed enough people to kickstart my career. Nowadays, I’m working a day job as an Audio Director and have had the pleasure to work with pretty much every big name studio out there. I’m incredibly fortunate to have had this chance and I will forever be thankful to the Dota 2 community for everything they’ve done for …

As of yesterday, this song is completely gone from the game. This means that when the game fully releases, the majority of the fanbase will have never heard of this song.

The old menu was removed and there was a new menu theme released on August 19th patch but this song still played for the first 20 seconds of a match. With the new match intro songs this song is nowhere to be heard in the game which kind of makes sense I guess since Deadlock is slowly moving away from the aesthetic it had when the game was first revealed to the public. From this day forward this song is officially “old Deadlock”

Update: After some encouragement from y’all I’ve created a post on the forums about this! Feel free to comment and like that post so that hopefully someone who can help to let the mod fully work as intended / dreamed up is more like to see it! :)

We tend to overlook the fact that we are taken care of by the most respected industry in videogames. The fact that you can access all the heroes for free, buy the game for free, buy skins for cheap and trade with others without the constant paywalling is the best things about this game

Now we may agree and disagree that patches may ruin the game or have made the game worse (even saying dota is dead for the past 13 years) but the game remains active for a reason. It’s because we the players are actively supporting it and we are taken care well for it. Whenever I buy skins, I always think about the fact that I am supporting a gaming industry that prioritizes the customers over money - hence it is always worth it

And we have the greatest CEO in the entire fricking world that is always in every TI greeting everyone and showing support to a game he ACTIVELY plays. Every other moba videogame anything just to have that monicker under their brand. Gabe Newell is just built like that

Ranking up in dota2 is nuts. Whenever you hit a winstreak and you feel like up ahead there is a lose streak waiting for you. And yes you can focus on your own gameplay try to have the best positioning. Best farming patterns and still lose. Just look at these two pictures. Some people just dont wanna use their brain cells. Some are always mad at others and toxic and in other hand there are always some players that play way better than your mmr baseline. Which one will be in your team? Well not the way you wish. Can you do anything? No just focus on your own skills and suffer through it like a stoic philosopher ignoring things he cant change. Am I even playing a game? Or experiencing a painful life truth into a simulator?

Before the patch, this talent reduced Drow Ranger’s Frost Arrows mana cost from 12 -> 9, because 75% of 12 (or 3/4ths) is exactly 9.0

After the patch, the talent now reduces Drow Ranger’s Frost Arrows mana cost from 12 -> 9.84.

However, because the game rounds down (or truncates) when rounding floats to integers for mana costs, it rounds 9.84 down to 9 - resulting in absolutely no change in the mana cost of the skill with the talent compared to last patch.

This change is even more pointless than Tinker’s Keen Conveyance cooldown reduction from 7.39d

Hello.
As many of you know, I’m a Ukrainian ex-pro Dota 2 player, and nowadays I serve in the Ukrainian military, helping to defend my country from the Russian invasion. In the limited free time I have, I still stream and play Dota 2 — the game I love to this day.

A year ago, I spoke out against Games of the Future, a tournament fully backed and used by the Russian government for propaganda purposes. If you saw the opening ceremony with Putin, you know exactly what I mean.

I have huge respect as a Dota 2 player for many people on that screen who are now planning to attend the event in Abu Dhabi this year. But let’s be honest — this is the same tournament, with the same goals, run by the same people. The only thing that changed is the location.

So my question to Topson, Ceb, Notail, Loda, AdmiralBulldog and others is:
Is it really worth taking that bloody money and becoming part of Russian propaganda by attending this event?

I sincerely hope you reconsider your decision.

I think we’re all aware that Metro is generally a pretty negative influence for Deadlock. He’s been banned from Twitch and Overwatch before for being toxic and insulting, and I’d really like to curb the flow of that into Deadlock. Just a few pointers -

- Being recently suspended from Twitch - According to a reported ban in October 2025, the stated reason was “promoting, encouraging, or facilitation of the discrimination or denigration of a group of people based on their protected characteristics.”

- There are widespread community claims of repeated toxicity, griefing, and bad behavior on stream (one example here). This is one of several posts on the this subreddit describe him yelling at teammates, abusing or insulting them, and even intentionally “feeding” or griefing matches while live-streaming

- The negative behavior allegations go beyond a single game — many stem from his prior days in Overwatch. Some community members mention that Metro’s “overwatch toxicity” …

Hopoo recently teased about abrahms junior before his release but we got a gameplay preview of him before any announcement
He starts off with the least health in the game but ends up with about the same health as late game mo and krill. he has the best movement in the game with a work in progress passive that allows him to dash very far, its supposed to have charges but its bugged right now. he also has the least gun damage and melee damage out of everyone but his job is to be a cc demon and make them unable to play a game. its a decent concept but needs more work imo

I’m probably the only one who thinks that way, but I MUCH prefer playing into an “op” Seven than into the cancerous, Austrian painter ass characters like Shiv, Paradox, Kelvin, Victor, Infernus and gunman. Whenever these heroes are meta, or someone like Talon, mirage, Mina, I swear it’s the most boring shit to deal with, cause when seven is op, you can still shut his ass down early game, fuck him up or deal with his team while he is trying to farm and just not get into late game, but the current meta is just formed by heroes that literally aren’t weak at any stage of the game, good luck trying to punish a good player on said dictator characters cause you will fail miserably, purely cause these guys can stat check you even if you are ahead in souls. Also, yes, seven IS atrocious this patch, kind of a throw pick in high elo.
