Thanks to everyone out the long way!
I recently had a look at an old android phone and it had muzei installed & I instantly missed the feature. I feel that it could be built as a siri shortcut. So I replaced the URL used in the tutorial with “ https://muzei.co/today ” but Siri couldn’t pull any images… anyone got any ideas why the image isn’t being picked up, or have any ideas on possible workaround.
Update so technically there is no image on the …
I do this with podcasts where I’m interested in the subject material but I find the way the hosts talk is not engaging or they just go way into details about things I don’t find interesting and then eventually I realize I’ve heard their voices while I’m doing whatever else I’m doing but not at all what they’re actually talking about lmao
Has anyone else been enjoying this podcast as much as me? I love these guys going into the episodes but I really love it when something from the episode they are talking about leads them into unexpected conversations like their discussion on Catholocism or their relatives in the armed forces or that entire episode where Rob talks about almost fighting some guy outside a burger place. Hope they start bringing on guests like Danny or Kaitlin or some of the other guest stars.
I’ve been really enjoying Beef and Dairy Network, Beach Too Sandy, Water Too Wet and Valley Heat. I’d love to hear recommendations for comedy which doesn’t get too rowdy.
Hey guys, like the title says, I’m going to be going on a work road trip which will total a little less than 70 hours of driving, so I need some interesting podcasts to listen to while I drive. I’m currently listening to NADDPOD, so any other D&D/gaming podcasts are welcome. If anyone knows of a Warhammer fantasy lore podcasts I’d love to know. I like Ologies as well, so any science-based ones are good too. Also science-fiction :) Thank you!
Edit: Thanks again everyone for your suggestions! I appreciate it :)
A comedian with a relatively dark sense of humor tackling a range of topics, almost all of them serious. His true crime episodes will have you laughing your ass off while he tells you the most disturbing facts. I’ve been listening to podcast for a good while now, love/d true crime but struggle with it sometimes, Timesuck is such a breath of fresh air to the genre I’ve gone back and listened to almost every episode since 2016. Plus, they’re super long (hence the name) running just over 2 hours on average. Go check it out, and to those who listen already, keep sucking meatsacks!
Immediate edit: Despite what you may think, the guy is an absolute stickler for details, and researches his topics so thoroughly you’ll be amazed. Part of what I love about him.
My girlfriend and I spend three weekends a month apart due to custody arrangements with our respective kids. Most of the time she falls asleep on facetime with me because its hard for her to sleep alone and having me on facetime isn’t quite like having me there but its better than the alternative.
So I thought to myself that maybe instead of idly chattering about my usually-boring day, I could read her a story. But every bedtime story I’ve found has been too childish in language or too mature/engaging in topic to easily fall asleep to.
So I’m hoping this community has a suggestion for something that could fit the bill: something unafraid to really delve into descriptive imagery but has very little in the way of drama. I guess my ideal book would be of someone exploring a new place and describing their journey. As I’m writing this, A Walk In The Woods springs to mind. Maybe I could try that, but I’m hoping people here have some more suggestions.
I want to read something with a female protagonist, it should be mainly about her life but feature no or very little romance. Ideally she is single by choice and it’s mostly about her life, work, hobbies etc. No YA please, it should be a book aimed at adults and the protagonist also an adult woman.
I’m scared for Ukrainian people. I’m scared for my family, my country, the entire world.
If the worst happens I want my mind to conquer fear.
Please suggest me any books, fictional or not, that would help me achieve at least a tiny bit of peace.
Edit: thank you everyone for such amazing suggestions, I’ve compiled a huge to read list, and I’ll start reading them today!
It annoys me when I find a female protag hoping to see some good character development, and the author ends up talking about her boobs and her waist and her seductive smile half of the time.
(At the same time though, I don’t want the characters’ gender to be her defining trait, and I don’t want to be reminded every three seconds that she’s a woman. That’s kinda annoying too.)
They think they’re hot shit. But somebody is done with their attitude and challenges them. I just want a fun, thrilling story! Bonus if the protagonist is entertaining despite the obnoxiousness!
Thanks in advance 😎👋😝
EDIT: Thank you all so much for the wonderful suggestions! I started an Amazon wishlist if anyone is interested in purchasing a book for the program. Most of the suggested books are on the list as well as others I found online. Thank you again!!!

I am working on a literacy program for girls ages 11-14 who all have below average reading levels. I’m looking for books that’s topics are appropriate for a middle school age girl but are at a reading level that is closer to elementary age. We have not tested their levels yet but know that they range around 3rd-5th grade level. Many are discouraged from reading because of this and I need good books to spark their interests. I don’t want them to feel embarrassed for reading books that are geared towards younger kids like Junie B Jones or Magic Tree House (though I’m not opposed to using them), so a more mature subject matter/cover would be great! Thank you in advance. Also if …
For me it’s Witcher 3, I just didn’t like the depth of the character customization, I felt like there was a lot going on with it. I didn’t really like that you had to cover so many skills to get through the game.
Just had a very significant event happen to me… and I’m looking for a game that I can just forget the life and play it. like a world you can explore and lose yourself into it. I prefer singleplayer games as I don’t feel like talking to anyone right now.
Subnautica, Skyrim, Divinity original sin 2, never winter nights are the games that I played that made me feel like the exploration was worth it.
I don’t really like frustrating games such as dark souls and the like so… yeah, just a world I can sink myself and forget about this world, at least for a few hours. a game that feels more alive than arcade.
thank you, would really help me a bunch
Been feeling stuck lately and looking for something that I can explore and RPG. Preferably an indie game.
Noita was the last game I tried. The constant restarts killed it for me. I modded it to have checkpoints, but then it wasn’t fun at all.
Minecraft is a good example. Except I am so done with crafting systems from that game. And I don’t really want a static base that I have to constantly return to.
Ditto for Terraria, Subnautica, and Ark.
Fallout 4 is a good example. Huge world, fun gun play, great story. Something like that would be cool. Outer Worlds too.
Tales of Maj’Eyal gives me the exploration and RPG I crave, but is also far too difficult and you have to constantly restart.
Borderlands has enemies that constantly respawn so you never really make progress, and too few checkpoints for how often you die.
Factorio got way too repetitive.
Outer Wilds was a great experience to explore but I got stuck and ended up just watching the game online.
No …
I’ve played
- Far cry games
- Fallout games
- Metro Exodus
I like all the games listed above and looking for more games like it.
Edit: Any kind it open world shooter is fine, may it be FPS or TPS
Hey,
I’m looking for investigation games where the game isn’t helping you in keeping tracks of the clues and so on.
Basically, I loved playing Return of the Obra Dinn for that specific thing. I like investigation games like Sherlock Holmes but I found that Devil’s Daughter and the one before were too much helping (basically all I had were to put clues together and the game would keep track of where I am).
I’d like a game where I have to have a notebook in order to know the clues I’ve encountered, the infos I need to remember and so on.
Something that makes me feel like a real investigator
