Recently, a scam has come to light involving shortcuts. A certain site seems to be offering a collection of shortcuts that are not theirs, and making their users pay for it. If you have paid for any of these shortcuts, you have been scammed and request a refund immediately. All of the shortcuts mentioned are free.
Here’s a link to all the shortcuts they illegally charged fo:r https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/491379054331559938/951308592030552084/zShortcuts.json. (Thanks FifiTheBulldog for providing the json) If you see your shortcut here, it’s being illegally redistributed. It seems that they do not modify shortcuts, so it may be a good idea to add a “If you paid for this shortcut, you have been scammed and request a refund immediately” comment to your shortcut.
Let’s say you want to download images from 10 urls and store them in a variable. One quick way to do it is using a repeat loop:
This works, but one issue here is the memory usage. Since End Repeat accumulates results from the last action in the loop (Add to Variable in this case), and since the last action keeps growing, End Repeat will contain 1 + 2 + 3 … 10 = 55 images that will never be used. This is a huge waste of memory, potentially resulting in a crash if the number grows.
There are two ways to improve it. One is adding Nothing before the end of the loop to leave nothing to End Repeat:
The other is moving Add to Variable out of the loop (and optionally changing it to Set Variable):
These will reduce memory usage of the shortcut. I thought either one would be equally beneficial so I used to prefer Method 3 because it’s one less action. However, while writing this tip it occurs to me that Method 2 might be better because the …
I don’t mind them in theory. Lord knows I used to watch/play long ass interviews on YT, but the benefits of podcasts have always been you could just listen and not have to be engaged visually as well. I enjoyed just guessing what the hosts looked like until I finally google’d them. But now that so many pods are going visual as well, seems like they lean on that a lot more. “Check out this clip” or they make faces and thats the whole joke. Seems to be more of a problem wit stand ups and celeb pods. I blame Rogan… lol
Are there any individual podcast episodes that you found life changing or life altering in some way? Or just so powerful that they had a lasting impact on your life?
Any episodes so amazing/informative/moving that you feel like they should be required listening?
I’d love to hear them as well! Any and all genres.
I’d like to start listening to some podcasts that are good for people with depression. I would like a podcast about simple things that can make me feel better or self care related. I want something that relaxes me but also that motivates me to get out of my bed, not those “that girl” routines where it’s mandatory to wake up at 5am and be productive for the whole day. I don’t wanna listen to people talking about depression and mental illnesses, I just want something that I can relax to and feel better.
Any recs?
My mom recently started listening to podcasts. She isn’t very tech savvy, so she didn’t bookmark any, and she’s forgotten the name of her favourite. If anyone could help, we would be very happy.

Here is everything she remembers:
-The podcast was hosted by two Scottish women.
-Each episode, they would take turns telling a story, often crime-related.
-One of the stories was about King James and witches, another was about a man suspected of murdering his wife getting a retrial, and another was about four guys who (warning; gruesome) kidnapped and tortured a woman for weeks, cutting off bits of her fingers and using them for ransom.

Thanks to everybody who read this far. Again, we’d be very happy if anybody has any idea what it could be. :)
I couldn’t even pick a flair because of the wide variety I am trying to find. I am trying to get into the habit of listening to knowledge and entertainment while at work rather just music.
My interests include, the occult and paranormal, true crime (serial killer profiling rather than cold cases, heists are also interesting), art and philosophy, comedy, science and world news, horror as fiction and reality, and slice of life material. There are so many podcasts I don’t even know where to begin so I was hoping people already at this know some good ones, I appreciate knowledgeable and unique not just a bunch of people sitting around while roasting and laughing at eachother while slightly mentioning the material at hand
I listened to the Lolita podcast a while back and have never been able to find one that interests me as much. I really enjoy deep diving into things and their social/political effects, but its quite a hard thing to search for when I have no specific topic. Any recs please!
PS if you haven’t listened to the Lolita podcast I highly recommend it
hello everyone, what was your last 5 star read? im looking to read a book that will absolutely blow me away pls!! thank you & happy reading
edit: omg this blew up wow , wish I had an infinite amount of lifetimes to read through these recs
Suggestions please? Thank you.
I want to read something really fucking sad that will be an emotional rollercoaster and will make me cry. I recently finished “A Farewell to arms” but didn’t find the ending nearly as touching as I heard it was. So I’m in the mood of reading something even more intense. What do you suggest?
im just looking for a book with really unlikeable characters:)
Hello everyone,
Being a big fan of thrillers, I’m always in search for hidden gems. The darkest, most gripping and totally unpredictable ones.
What is the ABSOLUTE best thriller you’ve read so far? One that still haunts you in the best (or worst) way possible!
Haven’t been able to find a non fiction book that I don’t end up losing interest in.
Edit: Wow thanks everyone for your suggestions! I see some of you asked me to pick a topic instead of a book. I really enjoy Space and Psychology related topics, that’s why I mostly read SciFi fiction.
In case you hadn’t heard yet, itch.io is doing a massive sale to support medical relief and child care in Ukraine. It’s got games that get recommended around here all the time, like Superhot, A Short Hike, Celeste, Baba Is You, just excellent stuff. Personal favorites:
Go buy ‘kay? ‘Kay.
Games like subnautica, star citizen, outer wilds etc you essentially play the game within a moving vehicle. Ideally, I would like it so the vehicle can be upgraded, lived in etc. it’s it’s just en empty shell then there’s no point.
As a medical student one of my favorite things about RPG’s is being able to heal in dialogue with NPC’s. We talking FNV where you can perform surgery and make medical diagnostics.
Lately I been trying to find RPG’s which let you RP as a healer, but found nothing yet. Anyone have suggestions? Thought about Baldurs gate or Neverwinter but not sure if its possible there.
Already played, POE, DOS2, Fallout,
Hope someone can help :) putting a free award on the line as price!
Something akin to BOTW or elden ring. Where exploration is the biggest part of the game, not following quest markers. Some of my favorite moments in recent games come from these two games, where just walking around and exploring rewards the player. I’m not sure if anything like this even exists beyond botw or ER but maybe I’ll find a gem here.
It seems that all metroidvanias are side-scrollers/platformers and that’s fine. However I am not a big fan of that kind of perspective in video games. On the other hand I really like the design that comes with metroidvanias. Are there any games that follow metroidvania design (backtracking, finding new paths, getting new abilities for navigation etc) but that have a different perspective? I am looking for something which focuses more on exploration in the horizontal plane rather than vertical (although it is nice to have some platfirming). It doesn’t need to be fully 3D, it can be a top-down or isometric perspective.
