I would like to send an automated location to my girlfriend when I text them “On my way” for a duration of 1 hour. This way, they can see how far I am when I drive towards their house or vice versa.
We currently use “Find my friends” but that requires it to do mainly.
Many thanks in advance!
For me, the shortcut to “check on my peeps” reminds me to text the people I want at random times to maintain a relationship with but don’t see on a weekly basis.
A quick little shortcut that can translate anything into Morse code. Just don’t rely on it to save your life 😑
So, try this. Say, “Hey Siri, True or False”. Siri will then play a game of true or false with you. Okay cool.
HOWEVER, What’s really happening here is it’s not Siri that’s playing the game but instead Siri has installed a Shortcut on your device and the Shortcut is running the game.
This happens without any user notification a Shortcut is installing.
Am I wrong in assuming Apple just showed a security weakness here?
Please and thanks!
Requesting a look at the dark side of the self-help industry.
Maybe a critique about it’s bootstrap mentality or a look at harmful coaches/healers/therapist?
I’ve caught up on my podcast library, and I’m looking for new stories and podcasts go listen to. I found a similar thread and listened to the Obscura episode about the flash flood and that story stuck with me.
What’s some of the heaviest stories you’ve encountered that really stuck with you? (Preferably a single episode.) thanks in advance!
I’m a huge fan of Bad Friends and King and the Sting. I’ve also been trying to get into 2 Bears 1 Cave but i dont enjoy them as much as the first two i mentioned. Are there any other podcasts that I should check out?
I’m listening to a podcast now that I absolutely love, but they’ve moved platforms and their most recent episode on the platform I use to listen to podcasts is from 2019. However episodes go back to 2011. I’m wondering if I should give up on it or power through the hundred plus episodes.
The Dropout was the first non-fiction podcast I have listened to and I found it really interesting and it kept me hooked all the way through. Can you give me recommendations of other podcasts you think I might like?
I’m not an avid reader, but I caught the reading bug this past week.
Though I loved Game of Thrones (at least the first four seasons), I’ve never read it. And I don’t want to, because it won’t be finished anytime soon.
I see people here recommending series like The Stormlight Archive and The Kingkiller Chronicle. But those are also not finished.
So what would you say is the best epic fantasy series for someone like me that is already finished?
I love a good first line. Recommend me some books by listing their first lines.
I’m not personally a fan of Romance or Young Adult stuff. Any other genre I’m up for giving a go.
Thanks.
(P.S. don’t forget to mention the book title in case I don’t recognise the line and want to check it out. : )
I love creepy, unnerving stories. Not necessarily just gore or anything like that, but when things are just off. I read this nosleep about some guy’s wife started peeking around corners and I think that was the first time I actually lost sleep over a nosleep story. I also love those Glitch in the Matrix stories that pop up in Askreddits sometimes.
The creepiest books I’ve ever read that had that creepy vibe was: Phantoms by Dean Koontz. Another one is Hell is Other People (not a book but a webtoon)
Or that you have found very rewarding to reread
I’m tired of perfect and beautiful female protagonists in everything I see and read. Can we get some unconventional-looking women stealing the spotlight? With assets based on merit and that don’t just pertain to the exterior?
I don’t know, I’m drunk and just in my feels
Just wanna cut through all the girls vs girls programming and want to read about women supporting and loving other women platonically, or even like family. Open to both heavy/dark and light/humorous reads. Thanks!
Basically, I’m trying to build one of those “100 things before you die” kind of lists.
I’ve seen some about games that are almost always the same (which is to be expected I suppose), including the very common classics. And I thought about building a list about what players enjoy today, games that changed your life, or really struck you somehow, doesn’t matter the platform or the genre. Games that had a meaningful impact to you, or that you just believe someone should play before they die.
Hidden games, popular games, whatever you think it’s worth playing before we leave this world. Throw it in the comments and if you can explain why would you add that game to the list.
I hope this isn’t overly ignored lol
Edit: Well this had a huge response
I’m thinking i will set up a small site to list all of your suggestions, and we will be able to vote
Don’t hold back on suggestions.
I’m a TTRPG player and I like movies like Doctor Strange but I have never been able to find a game that reminds me of those two good enough. Now don’t hesitate on giving simple answers, I’m not that good on gaming culture and I probably don’t know some of the more obvious games anyway.
Massive points for good character customisation, also ability to play as a girl would be super nice. Was enjoying Elden Ring until I got stressed with combat, got an urge to play the Witcher 3 but I don’t identify too much with the story or Geralt (a me problem - the story is amazing and I respect it). Sims Medieval but newer and a bit less whimsical is the closest I can describe to what I’m after.
I’ve played Animal Crossing and Moonlighter. Combat preferred but not necessary. Just to make it harder, I’m playing on Intel integrated graphics.
plz tell me there is something
