Hey, I’ve made a shortcut for xCloud users on Mac who suffer from lag / dropped frames when playing over Wi-Fi (even when it’s 5GhZ on a decent network). It uses Apple Scripts to set everything up so you only need to click once and use Touch ID.

What this does:
Use with caution. This is quite rough and might require some tweaks on your end. And as always, please be cautious with scripts you get from the Internet! With that being said, enjoy:

i recently discovered Glance, and i had a huge moment of shock — by far one of, if not the coolest thing i’ve ever seen in shortcuts. i first heard about it on here, so i thought i’d ask what other favourite/game-changing shortcuts this community loves! any recommendations?
Goosebuds is essentially a podcast where three dudes discuss goosebumps books. But they start each episode with like 20 minutes of unrelated talk that is usually as if not more entertaining than their actual goosebumps discussions.
They already finished all the original goosebump books but they are doing a lot of episodes looking at related book series or some of the later goosebumps series. Plus they do some choose your own adventure episodes (give yourself goosebumps).
If you want a comedy podcast that is also a 90s kid scholastic bookfair sort of thing then you can’t go wrong with Goosebuds.
The hosts are funny and they really make you feel like you’re just hanging out with friends because they have a really good rapport.
10⁄10 can’t recommend enough
According to The Verge Alex Goldman and Emmanuel Dzotsi will be leaving the show and Gimlet Media next month.
Some of my interests are health and science, working out, technology, but I wouldn’t be opposed to learning something new!
I already listen to Just read, and Andrew Tate’s podcast but if anyone has some good ones besides those two, or a podcast that’s actually scary let me know. I drive a truck for a living and love to listen to them as I’m driving.
I love podcasts. I love this subreddit, and its been an integral part of my podcast experience. You guys have been an incredible source for finding great podcasts.
However, I’ve noticed an uptick of requests for certain things, and no/few comments. I think this is because people are looking for something from podcasts, where podcasts aren’t your best resource.
“I want to learn about a super specific, not very common thing, eg. the practicalities of running a business” - you are probably looking for an audio book. Your library may have an app thats lets you check out audio books for free.
“I’m tired of podcasts and I need something new” - music, or again, audiobooks. I often cycle through the three formats. Give podcasts a break and return to them
“I want to learn about something (eg, chemistry) on an extremely detailed, academic level” - you are probably looking for a lecture series. MIT, great courses, etc
Not to say you CANT …
Something that makes your skin crawl and stay up at night!
I just read The Only Good Indians and I loved it. For those who haven’t read it, it’s a horror novel, but the characters are life-long friends in their 30s and they all suck at life basically. I didn’t even realize I needed to read about that until I picked up that book, but now I want more.
Does anyone know a book about characters like that? I’ve been reading a lot of horror lately, so that’s what I’d prefer, but I’m open to any genre.
I want to read the most boring piece ever
No redemption arcs, just a bad guy doing bad things and knowing those things are bad. Whether or not they win is unimportant.
Let’s goooooooo any genre and story any characters - suggest only you’re number 1 of all time as I need a new read!
**note I read the count of monte cristo recently - adored it but I know that’ll pop up a lot!
Thaaanks
I am deeply afraid of our cultural development and i want to educate myself more about this. Books about escaping consumerism are also appreciated. I appreciate your help! Stay safe and sane everybody!
Something really dark, gritty or disturbing similar to Wasp Factory, Blood Meridian or In The Miso Soup

also, does stardew valley sound good to what I’m asking?
Any games other than Ecco the Dolphin from way back when where you play AS the dolphin?
I struggle with pretty bad mental health issues and it makes me get upset really easily and basically ruins my mood for at least a few hours. i also have very bad anxiety so if things get too intense i get really anxious from my heart rate elevating and such. I play games like League, Overwatch, or other pvp games and i just get my mood ruined.
Recently i started playing games that are more laid back, specifically Northgard. I enjoy it a lot because it completely immerses me and i rarely get upset or anxious, but I am afraid to do the pvp mode and after beating the campaign i’ve lost interest. additionally i can listen to podcasts or music or have video essays playing in the background and that seems to calm me down as well. I can’t really get into story games either. So could you guys recommend me some slow paced, relaxing and brain activating games?
Games I’ve tried but can’t get too into: Minecraft Terraria Star dew valley Cities skylines (or basically any other city builder or …
