If you run 2 shortcuts using Run Shortcut from another shortcut, they run in sequence. That is, s2 starts running only after s1 finishes.
If you want to run 2 shortcuts at the same time, you can change the first Run Shortcut to the shortcuts://run-shortcut?name=
URL scheme (Shortcuts User Guide). s1 will run independently in parallel.

A few notes:
I’ve recently setup an iPad 5 running iOS 15 on a wall in my home gym. Using it as a control panel of sorts which lets me control music playing through airplay2 speakers, change lighting, and occasionally monitor the happenings around the house through HomeKit cameras while I work out.
I’ve set up a few simple automations and I’m curious what shortcuts others have created for this or similar use cases.
What I’ve done
motion will trigger a smart outlet which when turned on, allows a charge to the iPad which subsequently triggers opening up Music and Home on the iPad in split screen
low battery on the iPad will turn the outlet on so I’m never left without a charge. This, in combination with the above means the iPad is not charging 100% of the time. I’m aware that automatic battery management through iPadOS means I don’t have to manage this myself but this gives me some peace of mind that I’m not going to be drawing power more than I need to.
Looking for some inspiration from …
It’s often intros, ads, or plugs. Am I missing out? How do you start a podcast?
Edit: Wow, thank you to everyone for your fantastic engagement. I love the insights of your posts. You’ve certainly made my feel like I am not alone in ‘just wanting them to get started.’ Cheers!
Something leaning towards mystery, or pausible supernatural that isnt a radio drama. Alot of recommendations I find are often about something disgusting; like some grotesque person or crime they commited. I am looking for something truely frightening.
Do you have any recs?
I just saw this in the music sub and thought we should try it.
I really liked the first season. The rest is kinda a different show. Any recommendations on societal collapse, survival, diy/primitive/bushcraft podcasts? Thanks.
Great news for fans of the former Gimlet show “The Pitch”!
Story from Bloomberg: ‘The Pitch’ Podcast Is Latest to Leave Spotify
Another podcast, “The Pitch,” is leaving Spotify Technology SA’s Gimlet Media.
Host Josh Muccio bought the “Shark Tank”-like business investing program from Spotify for an undisclosed amount of money and will operate it independently, he said on an episode released Wednesday.
“I’m stoked,” Muccio told listeners. “I get to be an entrepreneur again, at my own fledgling startup.”
I listened to Video Palace last week and was honestly amazed! I havent been that engaged in a podcast since the first three seasons of Magnus Archives. It was genuinely creepy creepy with a fascinating story, an engaginng mystery, genuine characters and fantastic voice acting. What are some other audio dramas that have the similar horror and mystery tone?
Okay, I see this trend happening in the movie and music suggestions subreddits and would love to see this discussion around books. Per the rules in the other threads, everyone can comment a suggestion for a book that might fit. Feel free to list up to FIVE books if you’re like me and love so many. Maybe we can all find some new favorites!
I have found that many of the books I’ve been reading are extremely derivative or full of predictable tropes and plot lines. That doesn’t mean the books are bad, but I’ve been craving a book that actually feels like a new story and that I can’t predict the ending to.
Any suggestions of books with original concepts or unpredictable plot lines?
There are book that follows us around for some time and we curiously seem drawn to them. Suggest me one of your favorites.
Like you pick it up and you just KNOW the author has a superiority complex, or has written themselves in a self insert as a pretentious character.
I posted this in the wrong community but here I am now. I’d like some suggestions on a book I can read.
I have read one book in school but other than that and childhood comics, I have read nothing.
Genres I like are drama and crime. Sci fi is also cool. No horror or anything please.
I’ll buy the book in the most upvoted comment (if I can find it anywhere) and I will read it.
EDIT: Wow!! Loads of comments and thank you all so much!! I can’t read through everything but looks like the winner is Project Hail Mary. I’ll see if I can find it :)
Hello everyone,
I have just finished watching Jack Edward’s latest video and it made me very curious to know what are the books that people think are a Must-Read for everyone in their 20s.
So what are the books that you believe shaped that specific time of your life and why would you recommand them?
I always hated when high difficulty means the player has less health whereas the enemies have more health. Right now I am playing Metro 2033 series and I love how the ranger hardcore difficulty is so immersive and makes you use all the game’s mechanics. It truly is like playing another game.
Since I am close to finishing exodus, maybe you guys know any more games like these that are designed to play on hard difficulty?
Respawning or the HUD or the players existence Or why you can understand the aliens speaking?
Does this question even make any sense? I hope so.
Any games where you can kill enemies and completely clear areas out until there aren’t any enemies in any areas? Like for example a closed city with safe zones and infected areas and you can like kill all the zombies in the infected areas to permanently clear it and make it safe. Idk if this even exists i just want to feel that satisfaction of having a completely safe map at the end of the game
Indie, AAA, whatever. Are there any lesser known titles with absolutely amazing storytelling? That’s all I care about! The story. Mechanics and gameplay is just a vehicle for a good story, for me.
I know there’s stuff like Horizon Forbidden West and all, but I’m curious if there’s any that kind of went under the radar but had amazing stories
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I’ve put countless hours into Star Trek online but it just kind of feels off. Like they didn’t go into combat nearly that often. Half the stories took place on the bridge and didn’t even leave the ship at all. I’m wondering if there’s any game that plays more like actual star trek episodes. Where you play as a captain and do the whole exploring strange new worlds and boldly going where no one has gone before, but significantly less emphasis on space combat. Like actually handling things diplomatically or at least having the option to and multiple options. Also the management aspects too of customizing your bridge officers or at least managing them to some degree.
Before anyone mentions it, I have played Space Haven and I do enjoy it, but it basically seems more like Rimworld in space to me. It’s almost so close to rimworld that I end up just wanting to play Rimworld after a few hours of playing it. Also I feel like it could still use a bit more …
I have been searching for the last month for a game that fits this bill. At first i tried Minecraft, then Space Engineers, then Avorion. However none of these have very satisfying progression in my opinion. I want a game where I can start for nothing then become a vast network of mines and settlements under my control and built by me or NPCs I lead. So many games with “progression” are just mine, mine, and fucking mine more. I do not mind this, it makes sense, the problem being they don’t really make mining easier or more efficient, its just mining but in different systems. Space Engineers is another offender of this, it just gives you the opportunity to make a drill.. but big! This is annoying.
So, in terms of progression, i’d prefer something that gets faster and more efficient as you progress. For example instead of mining yourself like you’d have to at the start, you can set up large amounts of drills all over the planet and upgrade those drills. …
