Looking for a shortcut to open up the YouTube App at the Watch Later playlist. Too many steps normally. Thanks 🙏
Title gets the gist of it
I clock in and out of work via the ADP App. In order to clock in or out I have to be geographically very close to my job, within 100ft or so.
I forget to clock in a lot and I’m hoping I can set up a shortcut to open up the app when I’m within range of my job and notify me at the same time so I can’t forget to clock in.
I always wanted to seperate iMessages from SMS messages. This is due to SMS messages (from 2FA, Banks, Phone services) clogging my personal iMessages.
I thought the best way to do this was have a shortcut lead me directly to the known senders tab when I activate it (My iMessage shortcut). And have another shortcut lead to the unknown senders tab (My SMS shortcut).
Would this be possible in anyway? Perhaps using something similar to the settings URL schemes?
Thank you!
I wanted to love this podcast and have listened to a bunch of episodes, but I’ve become kind of disillusioned with it over time. A lot of their critiques are great, and expose really troubling/damning things about different studies, books, etc. but sometimes it really seems like they’re grasping at straws, and treating any minor flaw with a study as something that totally discredits the results. All scientific studies have flaws and it is a good thing to point them out, but it doesn’t necessarily mean the entire study should be scrapped. There was also a point when one of the hosts said that there wasn’t really evidence that fast food (like McDonald’s) was any worse than a loaf of bread from the grocery store, that really gave me pause. Everyone else seems to love it though, so maybe it’s just me!
it doesnt have to be about ghosts or cryptids. it can also be fictional stories or true crime. but what episode or series of something truely scared you. i am looking to be frightened as fuck.
not just podcast. but also the episode if applicable please.
what gives you those sweet sweet shivers?
I usually listen to Maintenance Phase, Sawbones, and Behind the Bastards (previously also You’re Wrong About, before one of the hosts left). I keep finding podcasts that are ALMOST great, like “Was I in a Cult?” and a couple shows by the Parcast Network, but they all seem way TOO scripted. Two people, each with a script, bouncing pre-written lines off of each other back and forth. I’m looking for slower, more “natural” conversations on podcasts, even if one person has a script. It’s just much more pleasant to listen to. Any suggestions?
Here is the vibe I’m going for
I think I listened to about 10 eps of their first season way back in the day. Other than that I’m new to D&D podcasts.
I want to get back into one and wondering if that’s still a solid starting point for a newbie. If there are other “essential” D&D pods I should know about please let me know!
History has always been a blind spot of mine, and part of me thinks it’s due to the interconnectedness of it all where I often get overwhelmed at how much required knowledge there is to understand a singular event.
Is there any good podcast that does a good job at explaining the ins and outs of it in a way that makes you appreciate the significance of it ? I’d be especially interested in 1600-now but anything good would be appreciated.
What is the one book that you don’t have a single negative thing to say about it
Question inspired by one that said ‘hug’ rather than mug, and I misread it - but instantly had a book in mind to recommend.
Mine is The Name of the Wind, felt like a warm mug of coffee, by the fireplace, with rain outside.
But I may be biased as that’s how I literally read it one winter.

What’s yours?
I am looking for something different to read, any genre. Thanks!
Like many of us, I was a proper bookworm as a kid but reading took a backseat as an adult. I started slow again with a lot of fantasy and a few thrillers sprinkled in. Now I’m revisiting the classics with the most well-known authors from Hardy to Austen and Dumas. Adding some Russians to the mix as well. But I’m itching for more and I’d like to try my hand at “highbrow” literature (unsure what else to call it) now. Basically something that’s a bit more challenging, maybe out of the mainstream and generally considered to have more “literary value”. I understand that’s debatable in many circles but I hope you get the spirit of my request. Thanks for any suggestions!
Suggest me books that’ll make me cry or at least sad. It can be for whatever reason. I don’t really care what genre the book is or what is the mc’s sexuality. Just shoot me the with the books that got the most tears out of you and if you care to, please elaborate :))
I really appreciate every answer
So far I’ve highly enjoyed investigative journalism, but feel free to share any other topic! Mine have been
I’m not sure what the term would be for this, but games like Night in the Woods, or Firewatch, and Coffee Talk maybe? Games that make you feel lost or isolated, that confront issues like loss of purpose and shit. Just games that’ll make you think and mull over them. Thanks in advance, dudes. Praise the Sun!
Edit: added Coffee Talk.
Okay so I’ve been playing Overwatch for a long time (yeah I know, get the laughs out of the way, also I never play comp) and I’m really done with smurfs and people just ignoring the objective.
I’ve tried Fortnite for the first time a couple days ago (I liked the dragon ball update) and while it’s alright and dragon ball elements are surprisingly fun, the movement is choppy and clunky, the battle royale formula is super boring (run around for 15 minutes, get sniped, repeat) and for some reason getting killed evokes some primal rage in me that I’ve never knew I posses.
Warframe has probably the best movement in any shooter I’ve ever played but the missions are repetitive and the amount of grind required to progress in any way is just insane.
Gensin Impact while absolutely beautiful, is very mid when it comes to gameplay.
I know I sound picky but I’d love to hear what games do you guys genuinely enjoy. Honestly? It doesn’t even have to …
What were games you felt like was a waste of your time and money, made you wish you could get your money back, games you didn’t even want to finish, etc. Maybe we could all learn from each other which games are not worth it.
I’ve always been a huge fantasy nerd. Even generic fantasy. But after playing the Persona games I realized I never played a whole lot of RPGs with a modern day setting. I’ve played games like Dead Island and Dying Light, which are modern day zombie apocalypse. But other than that I can’t think of anything that isn’t fantasy or sci fi.
Game play doesn’t matter that much. I like turn based and action rpgs. I like western and jrpgs.
A few years ago, I was recommended to play the original deus ex. I found it hard to play and to get into due to its age. However this all changed when I came across the GMDX mod which almost makes it play like the modern deus ex games. Now it’s my favourite game ever. Thats why I’m looking for other old games that got the same treatment.
Games that I’m already aware got similar upgrade: Vampire bloodlines and morrowind
Preferably with graphics that aren’t too intensive… it’s an old laptop.
