Lost the copy of a friends contact photo on their contact in your phone? Fear no more. I figured out a way to retrieve an original full-sized copy of a contact photo using a shortcut. It’s really lightweight too only using 2 shortcut actions.

It was a life saver for me because I wanted the original copy of a photo I took of my friend that’s on their contact in my phone. I was able to retrieve it from the shortcut I created. God bless
I need a new funny podcast to help brighten my day. I find that my real life interests are so serious that the corresponding podcasts are currently exhausting me. I like pop culture but don’t care for celebrities. I really liked Newcomers with Nicole Byer and Lauren Lapkus because it was silly and fun. Does anyone know of a podcast of a similar tone? Thanks so much.
Kinda weird I know, but reading about the Serial case made me curious which other podcasts have done something similar, if any.
The second question is just because I love suspense and intrigue lol
I’m looking for any and all podcasts about cults or cult-adjacent high-control groups (self-help gurus, MLMs, controvertial religious groups like LDS/LDS-adjacent or Christian Science).
My current favorite is Cult Podcast (the comedy one, not the Parcast one). I’ve also listened to some of the big ones like Heaven’s Gate, You Must Remember Manson, Escaping NXIVM, The Gateway, & more recently The Sunshine Place & The Dream.
More recommendations please!!
Due to poor life choices, I’m often driving 2-3 hours away and I’d love to hear podcast recommendations for my trips. I’d prefer non-fiction stories that finish during the drive. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Hello, all,
I’m looking to find a podcast that is a fictional true crime. So a murder mystery presented like a true crime podcast.
Something with a supernatural bent would be cool too.
Thank you!
Any recommendations podcasts that are similar in investigation process to Bear Brook or Broken Harts? What I liked about these podcasts is how sensitive they were to the victims and their families and respectful to the subject matter they were.
I know this might be.. ahh.. such a strange question, but I am searching for something to at least relate to.
I don’t mind it being fiction or non-fiction. It could be a non-fiction/memoir that helped you or a novel that made you feel seen?
Thank you
My spouse’s work is relocating us. But after the trip to find a home, I see it is so much worse than I imagined. I looked for a book where someone else was miserable with their move as well, but they are mostly relocation tips. Just hearing about the feelings of anger and depression that arise would do a lot to make me feel like somebody else gets it.
I want to read a cosmic horror book that makes my heart jump to my throat, I would rather read cosmic horrors like H.P. Lovecraft’s work, to a horror story like “IT” By Stephen King. Should I start with H.P Lovecraft’s Work and the Cthulhu Mythos? or should I start with a different author? Anyhow please tell me which books scared you the most.
Hello! A friend of mine is currently admitted into the local psych ward for the next few weeks. I’ll be bringing her books and other small things as she doesn’t have any family in the area. She loves horror, mystery, and psychological horror preferably with no romance. These aren’t my usual genres, so I’m at a bit of a loss of what to bring her! Any suggestions are more than welcome
Every October I read horror novels. New this year is the fact that I am working on my PhD in Epidemiology and am hoping to find a book including some level of horror with the subjects above. Any suggestions?
EDIT: you are awesome!
I have just finished reading some Colleen Hoover books, and I really enjoyed them. But as a 40 something woman, I would like to read a book where the main character is around my age. Thank you!!
Edited to add:
*A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SUGGESTED A BOOK!!! I know I am screaming, but I think I have finally found my people!!! This community is phenomenal and I am so lucky that you have given me so much to delve into! Thank you thank you thank you!!*
Something like Disco Elysium, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Kenshi (but not that hardcore), Papers Please etc.
Don’t say things like _______ Simulator. Not my thing.
A couple years back, I posted a thread asking for political games that weren’t spreadsheet simulators. Unfortunately, the situation back then wasn’t great - I got recommended a lot of great games that unfortunately just weren’t what I was looking for. So, two-or-three years later, here we are with attempt no. 2 to find what I’m looking for.
See, I love games like Crusader Kings, but numbers are hard. My brain crumples like an empty balloon when it has to deal with lots of numbers. I am the Queen. I should not have to deal with all this math. Math is a peasant’s game, I should have people to handle the numbers for me! I hope Paradox doesn’t think William the Conqueror had to play Microsoft Excel Simulator 1066 to take the English throne, I’m like 90% sure the man couldn’t even read.
In short, I’m looking for a political game with the following;
I’m okay with any setting, but I greatly prefer historical settings or settings …
Hi! I’m looking for a zombie game that shows how the infection began. Every game I found starts in the middle of the apocalypse.
I woul like something like the begging of the last of us (without that flash forward after the prologue), or like prototype or like the begging of most zombie movies.
Any kind of genre, rts, rpg, fps whatever.
I’m looking for non-comedy games. And when I say hell, I mean in the literal sense, not metaphorical sense like Layers Of Fear for example. Agony and Doom are good examples. Both Horror and action is welcome.
Key elements
- Single player
- No overly complex map layouts
- Shooting “feels good”, i.e. firing weapons and killing bad guys feels satisying
- Variety of weapons
- Minimal platforming or need for control coordination: I’m playing with M + KB
- Minimal secrets, the need to find things/complete just stresses me out
- There can be a plot, just nothing with too many cut scenes
- Short play times are viable
Thank you!
Like for example The long Dark, the northern lights look really good in this game.
