I have it set to not ask before running, and not notify when run, yet in order for the shortcut to execute, I must click on a notification.
INTRODUCTION (no need to read): When you lie on your side on the bed and use your phone, your screen orientation automatically turn into landscape orientation (horizontal orientation) which makes you unable to read or view the content on the screen, so you have to use your other hand to swipe down the control center, and then lock the screen rotation. Now you can do it much quicker by double-tapping the back of your phone with your finger. There are many shortcuts to toggle screen rotation before (these shortcuts are often used with the Back Tap feature to bring the most convenience to users). But none of the older shortcuts can recognize your screen orientation to inform you if the portrait screen orientation is locked or not. People have requested the shortcut makers to upgrade their shortcuts with the notification feature, but they said only a programming genius can make a shortcut that can recognize which stance your phone is in to notify you. Well, I am no genius, but now I can do …

This shortcut selects a random image from an album that you select and puts it as the wallpaper. I know this is an easy and basic shortcut. I shared it in a comment of a post on here yesterday and many people found it useful so I thought I should post it so many more people can use it. Also, this shortcut works even if you have widgets on your lockscreen. I’ve tested it using widgets and it changes the wallpaper without any issues, and it doesn’t affect the widgets in any way.
Coming to the shortcut now, I’ve attached a screen recording of the actions of the shortcut that you can refer to and I’ll be explaining it in the next few lines. I’ve used the “Find Photos” action to find all the photos from the album selected by the user. These photos are then passed through the “Get Item from List” action which selects one random image from all the photos passed …
Nine years. 342 Episodes. 190 hours of content. 1.5 million words.
Mike Duncan’s Revolutions has finished.
I like Mr. Ballen but am caught up. I’m looking specifically for true paranormal and/or unsolved mysteries, high quality, podcasts. Preferably user stories.
I’m not a fan of sound effects or commonly repeated stories (ie; Waverly Hills and such). Prefer US based because it’s easier for me to relate when I can envision the area it took place. I’m not a big fan of cryptids or UFOS, but am cool with unique true crime on occasion.
Any suggestions?
What podcasts do you still listen to even though it’s not that good anymore? The one that makes you say, “ugh, why am I still listening to this?!”. And then next week another episode drops and you what do you do, you masochist? You listen to it. Ugh. My answer: Something was Wrong.
Looking to get into true crime podcasts for the first time, but only seem to find ones focusing on a singular case instead of doing episodes on various ones. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Any suggestions for a long-form, in-depth podcast about WWI? How it started, America’s eventual involvement, and the eventual peace treaty and future ramifications? I just started going down the rabbit hole of this “forgotten war.” Thanks
I have become interested / horrified in the surge of popularity & normalization of BBLs, Buccal fat removal, insane body shape editing (think r/instagramreality), rib removal etc due to beauty culture trends.
I listened to and loved Seasons 1 and 2 of “The Dream” and wish they’d do a season on this topic, tbh.
Is there a good podcast that discusses these topics? I’m really not big on banter, and idk if this is being an asshole but I have a hard time listening to small, independent podcasts with questionable quality audio.
*I don’t really want to discuss ethics or have arguments about my opinions about plastic surgery trends. Don’t be offended please.
I want to read a 100 books in 2023. I easily finished my 75 books this year to make it more challenging for myself I’d like a majority of those books to be recommended to me by others.
I read all genres and types of books so really this is your chance to recommended any book
Edit 1
Know I am adding all books I haven’t already read to my reading list.
Edit 2
There are so many amazing suggestions and I am trying to reply to as many comments as possible
I am looking for a book to make me feel better about not fitting the standards. I am neither very feminine not very masculine, my looks are not stunning and I am usually a mess (not for lack of trying to look good but I am not very talented). I admire butch women a lot but it doesn’t have to be about that specifically. I want to feel like I deserve love and desire despite all of that.
Sorry for being so vulnerable.
Last year this was a great thread. For me this year: American Dirt, Homegoing, and Crying in H Mart were my favorites that I read this year
For context I struggle with being emotionally vulnerable in every aspect of my life. This means I also avoid reading/watching anything to ‘emotional’ and typically stick to non-fiction. My therapist has recommended me to watch a film/read a book which has negative feelings (sadness, anger, grief, heartbreak) associated with it as a type of exposure treatment. So please hit me with your best ones.
Is there any book series where the protagonist is the bad guy but we don’t realize it until late in the series/several books in? That we we root for the protagonist until we slowly realize they aren’t as noble as we thought?
You know, some lovely fancy prose, that makes you sigh and hold the book to your chest, or wipe away a tear and stare out of a window. Something that grabs you right in the heart.
Elloooo, Just wondering what’s a good game where you can just grow infinitely stronger?
What are some games where you can watch ai vs ai fighting? Could be strategies, fighting games, whatever comes to mind

I did an analysis of the last 500 posts on this subreddit and returned a list of bigrams and trigrams along with their frequency. So in other words here is a rather raw representation of the most commonly suggested games in recent posts. The number to the right is the amount of times it was mentioned - granted not every time something is mentioned is it being suggested necessarily, someone might be saying “____ sux!” . But still it might indicate something you might wanna check out! Please note also, this is kinda raw results so …. information such as STAR WAR, or NO MAN.. can be taken with a grain of salt and maybe you can infer what it is probably about

EDIT: Added single word titled games!

(‘Factorio’) 61

Its a been a year since I got my first pc and joined the pc gaming fam, and I have played LOADS of games in the past year ( 86 tried, 56 completed).
Heres what I have the most amount if hours in:
Sekiro Shadows Die Twice - 106hrs (still play this)
Deadcells - 86hrs
Red Dead Redemption 2 - 79hrs
Dark Souls 2 - 57hrs
Elden Ring - 51hrs
Dark Souls 3 - 45hrs
Dark Souls 1 - 42hrs
As you can see, I really enjoy games with a fair difficulty and learning curve (except rdr2).
I recently started playing Risk of Rain 2 and have been enjoying that too.
Any recommendations that might fit in this list?
I’m looking for a game, any era but has to be 3D, where you explore an immersive city or other dense environment. Not necessarily open world: one that comes to mind is Shenmue. You’re exploring a detailed environment and gathering information, searching for clues, meeting different characters.
I just played Life is Strange which has some elements of this. I liked turning over every stone, examining every way to interact with the environment to get all the pictures and plot options.
I think Clock Town in Majora’s Mask is my favorite example of this kind of environment. Castle Town in Twilight Princess and Windfall Island in Wind Waker are similar. There are lots of shops and houses to enter, unique characters to meet, and hidden things to find. Not even necessarily items: it could be a special interaction with an NPC that unlocks a plot point, like getting to interact with Kafei. These Zelda towns do it so well because even though they’re not spatially that …
