A very simple but very useful shortcut to find out who owns a phone number.

There isn’t much to say about this shortcut, it asks for the phone number and it looks it up on truepeoplesearch.com.
TPS is the only phone number lookup service that I’ve found that is actually free and not totally outdated.
I want to implement a feature that can automatically detect phone numbers on your screen via a screenshot but you know I need people to actually call me to test that sooo we’ll see.
V1.0 OUT NOW
Changes:
Siri can now automatically search for a phone number without you needing to enter or share it!
Say “Hey Siri, Look Up This Number” and a screenshot will be taken.
The screenshot DOES NOT leave your device.
The Shortcut extracts the text from the image and uses regex functions to find any phone number …
Hello, I launched a beginner guide to shortcuts as a FREE newsletter.
If you are interested you can sign up here:
I will cover the basics. But I think that newbies will appreciate it.
I mean can I somehow trigger a shortcut to run by doing something on my apple watch?
I’m trying to extract the “Racial Power” text from this site, using the Get Contents of URL and Match commands, with no luck.
Any suggestions?
Edit: I messed up with the explanation for saving the file to a specific folder. You just need to select the folder in “Save File to __”. Also, I’ve updated the screenshot for this thing at the end and you can refer to that. No need to enter anything in Subpath. You can just leave that field blank. My apologies for the mistake.
This shortcut opens the document scanner in the Files App, takes these scanned images and converts them into a PDF, and then saves this PDF directly in your Files App. Please do read everything below before using the shortcut.
Here’s the shortcut link: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/1b9034caa9a24b82b8d670a25d5b1e25
IMPORTANT: For this shortcut to work, you’ll need to download the “Actions” app from the app store. The “Scan documents” action used in the shortcut is provided by the “Actions” app. You can find the “Actions” app [here](https://apps.apple.com/in/app/actions/id1586435171)
Now moving to the shortcut, I’ll explain how it works. …
The only podcast I’ve “listened to” (actually only heard the highlights of some episodes) is 2 bears 1 cave. “For safety” made me laugh ugly, same with the kool aid episode. I’m looking for that kind of vibe where they start chatting about dumb stuff and it escalates into an increasingly funnier moment.
If anyone know of any podcasts that have that vibe, or at least some specific episodes of whatever podcasts that have that vibe, I’d greatly appreciate it :)
Thanks!
I’m looking for funny/comedy podcasts that are hosted by women. I don’t mind if they’re conversational or structured.
I like the following podcasts following this theme: This Might Get Weird, Violating Community Guidelines, Wheel of Misfortune, Drunk Women Solving Crime, Two Idiot Girls, Ladies and Tangents
Don’t get me wrong, I know there are loads of funny podcasts that men host, but I definitely lean towards female hosts.
Thanks!
Edit: holy shit thank you all for the suggestions! I just woke up and didn’t expect this many. I’ve now got a long ass list
Looking for a podcast that deep dives the US’s prison economy. Private prisons vs public, parole differences, how sentences in areas with prison labor differ from areas without, etc.
My mom is 75 and wants to spend her time more wisely and I think she could get a great deal of satisfaction out of listening to podcasts over her coffee or downtime, etc. I’m not super familiar with the podcast world and would love some help recommending her things she can listen to and enjoy. Thanks!
I listened to Serial from the very beginning and was totally hooked. When S2 was released I was totally ready to love it. I listened and felt… meh? I felt like I didn’t really get what the story was, it felt disjointed and hard to follow. Since then I’ve listened to thousands and thousands of hours of podcasts, and I’ve seen S-town recommended many many times, so recently I thought I’d give it another try. And I’m having pretty much the same experience. I’m only a handful of episodes in, I’m making a point of listening closely, and I’ve already rewound several times because I feel like I’m missing something. I kind of don’t understand what’s happening half the time, or what the significance is. It’s hard to keep track of the people and the timelines. Is this, by all accounts brilliant, podcast just not for me?
Id love to find a podcast that talks about fraud, robbery, burglaries, drug trafficking, etc. you get the gist. Basically something where it isnt all about murder. Seems to be over saturated in the true crime genre. TIA!
Help me pad my Goodreads Want to Read list for 2023!! ☺️
My favorite book that I read in 2022 was “Atonement” by Ian McEwan. Sometimes I remember the ending out of nowhere and I still get chills.
Other highlights were The Three Body Problem by Liu Cixin😳👽, The Maid by Nita Prose 🧹🧺🕵️♀️, 11/22/63 by Stephen King⏳🔫, and Vita Nostra by Marina Dyachenko🪄✨.
So many sci-fi stories are just space cowboys and interstellar warfare. Something different please!
i’m in the mood to be annoyed and pissed off. thanks!
my choice for most rage-inducing book has to be “Dear Laura” by Gemma Amor. apologies to the author if they ever see this, but honestly, how dare you.
Are there any books that talk about non-religious, non-nationalistic greater meaning for men? Like an objective goal worth pursuing that is not just a hobby or an individual want.
A lot of what I have read seems to think that being social or pursuing art automatically solved every existential and mental problem, like a magic pill. It always seems to end up with “everything is relative let’s just be hedonists and have fun hahahahahahahah”.
Is there something else out there?
Something that avoid homophobia, sexism and religion but also avoids hedonism and relativism?
I don’t want to end up getting worse or joining any bad ideologies. I see people hate on Jordan Peterson and usually every single other person I find, so I don’t listen to them because everyone says don’t…but no one ever suggest an alternative that is not just “just hang out with friends and do stuff, maybe in ur local community that solves everything be social just be …
I love Anthony Doer, but I’ve already read those. Any suggestions?
looking for shocking elements, plot twists, everything.

I played persona 5 and loved the combat but good god the amount of slow dialouge and cutscenes. If I wanted to watch the anime I would but I want to play game. I like the pokemon games as they are fast to start (older ones at least)
So many games do the morality system in a lazy way that’s basically “what color of text do you want your cutscenes to look like” and at best you get some dialogue option unlocks. Think games like Metro (non-lethal silent takedowns and sparing people who wanted to kill you just to see a different ending cinematic), Fable (pretty much only how people react to you and parts of the map looking slightly different based on certain choices) or Mass Effect (dialogue unlocks, Shepard looking visually different). Basically, being the good guy makes very little difference gameplay-wise. I want to play games with economies set up so that playing the bandit/murderer/bad guy taking for himself makes it normal difficulty instead of becoming an overfarmed god by for example vacuuming (stealing) stuff you’re not “supposed to” and buying OP gear for it, or where taking care to spare or avoid conflict is rewarded in a meaningful way instead of just resources you could …
My daughter likes playing Minecraft, Sims 4 and has recently discovered Stardew valley.
For the moment she has a low-end pc with old intel hd 4000 integrated graphics(which does not even run sims..).
What other games could you suggest for her?
(I promise to get her a better computer down the line.)
I desire to be a witch. Alas, witches are not real so I’ll just go for playing as one in a game. Are there any good witch based video games? I’ll take any kinda witch. hag witch. bog witch. sand witch. you name it I’ll play it. (brujas are also cool)
edit: wow thanks for all the recommendations it’s gonna be hard witch one to choose!
What are games that you can’t put down because you want to play “one more round”? These are games that are good for a quick play session, but can also turn into long ones easily if you don’t stop playing.
Bonus points for games that run well on Steam Deck!
Hi,
I am having a hard time motivating myself for gaming the last months.
I mostly play Vampire Survivors, Tetris and One finger death punch.
Please suggest me some games, that are not complex, where I can just play with my brain turned off.
I am looking for games for my Steam Deck specifically. Thanks!
