I have ADHD and planners never seem to work very well for me because I forget to look at them, lol. I wanted a shortcut that I could attach to an automation to act as a daily reminder of everything I need to do in a day, but I couldn’t find one that had exactly what I needed, so I made one!
It tells you the daily weather forecast, your daily calendar events, your weekly school assignments / work deadlines, and general to-do’s that don’t need to be done by a certain time / day.
I have this in an automation to run after my morning alarm, and also to run after I tap an NFC tag.
You’ll need change the reminder lists to whichever ones you want to use.
Hope it helps!!
EDIT: Forgot to add a filter to filter out completed reminders in the todo section. Here’s the fixed version. fixed
It’s a kind of pain I never knew existed. My backlog is getting ridiculous.
I want eerie and spooky stories that are true tales from the unexplained, not overt horror fiction.
Now that it’s been about 2 years since everything happened, are there any good shows, episodes or even YT videos breaking down everything that happened?
Even though I’d been listening & had been a fan for years I feel like I got the gist but I got it little by little as it unfolded in real time and I’d like to revisit it in its entirety to better understand what happened.
I really liked The troubles podcast and im looking for similar pods, that deep dive on a specific period of history, with several narrative episodes dedicated to different events and important people of the event
There are many ASMR channels out there, but i’m looking for a love and affection kind of podcast to listen to and pretend someone loves me and that i’m not incredibly lonely, thanks!
This question might be a demographic mismatch! But on the off chance I’m not the only person here with a few grey hairs and a uterus, any suggestions for a menopause podcast?
I suspect there’s not much to chose from, so I won’t add my podcast preferences, any suggestions are welcome.
(Except it has to be inclusive, definitely not anything that excludes listeners for any reason. It’s depressing to find a fair bit of gender bias in menopause spaces, so it’s worth mentioning that.)
None of that “Oh I’ve been chasing the people who murdered my family for years but now I realize I should take the 😇 high road 😇 and let go ❤️” shit. We’re taking the road to hell here. The main character isn’t “letting it consume them” or some such limp moralizing like that by keeping their fire and seeking their justice. No empty feeling or “it wasn’t worth it…” after the deed is done. I’m here to cheer for them getting back at whoever wronged them a thousandfold.
The book that while reading feels like You took psychedelics. The best example that comes to my mind is The island of the day before by Umberto Eco.
Edit: Thank You for all recommendations
Currently rereading Warriors by Erin Hunter and I really want more books that focus more on animals than humans. I read basically anything and everything, so all genres are open!
This post was inspired by an earlier post and as the title says, I’m looking for non-fiction books. I’m mostly looking for books that reveal some kind of unpleasant truth/reality about the world. For example, Dark Alliance by Gary Webb or Spillover by David Quammen. TIA.
I’ve already read The Martian and Project Hail Mary. I have a hard time with sci-fi when the science isn’t realistic/realistic-adjacent, it ruins the immersion for me. Any recommendations?
Edit: I am now reading The Three Body Problem as per several people’s recommendations! Y’all can stop recommending that one now lol. Feel free to continue sending recs my way!
Edit 2: Here’s a list of the books I’ve already added to my TBR (in no particular order) just to mitigate some of the repetition, as well as provide a list of the most mentioned books in this thread. Unfortunately, I can’t read everything at once, but I will get to these books at some point! Thanks y’all!
The Three Body Problem - Liu Cixin
Contact - Carl Sagan
Sphere, Timeline - Michael Crichton
Seveneves - Neal Stephenson
The Manifold Trilogy, Titan - Stephen Baxter
The Mars Trilogy - Kim Stanley Robinson
The Expanse series - James Corey
Children of Time - Adrian Tchaikovsky
Blindsight - Peter Watts

I’m playing videogames on PC and PS for roughly 18 years. Recently I don’t enjoy any game that I try. I’d even go as far as saying that I haven’t truly enjoyed a game since Disco Elysium (2019), despite having some nice experiences.
I’m still very much into games, I watch a lot of reviews, analysis etc., and I really want to regain that joy and immersion that gaming once brought to me. It’d be really sad to accept that I’m just old enough and adult life has been shitty enough last couple of years for something like a video game to make you forget about everything and let the inner child out.
Looking for a game to save the situation. Here’s some of my favs:

I’m looking for a game where the major goal or a big chunk of the game is climbing a tower or any similar tall structure.
It doesn’t matter what genre or the setting. Just any game that has that sense of progression you get while climbing the tower, be it from a gameplay or from a narrative standpoint.
Thanks in advance!
I’ve been looking at the resident evil games on steam as they’re all on sale at the moment but i’ve never played a horror game, and whenever I watch a horror scene or something similar with a jumpscare I hate it. Are there any games that could ease me into the horror genre or would you say it’s fine to jump straight into the resident evil games?
So basically as the title says I’m looking for sad games and I’m not meaning just crying once or twice i mean a game that will have me non stop crying that will change my life and I will never stop thinking about I’ve played all the life is strange games and I guess I’m just looking for someone that gives me that similar feeling of like almost emptiness?
I’m looking for games where the ai’s are smart, Not sure how to explain it so I’ll just say what I have in mind.
Other people using shield bearers as cover, shotgun enemies moving to get as close as possible, snipers falling back to outrange you, that sort of thing.
I’d like to have teammates as well but not multiplayer, though if not that’s fine.
Not looking for strategy games, I’m burnt out on them, but suggest them anyway and I’ll have a look at them in the future.

Edit: I Did not expect to get this kind of attention, So Instead of responding to each reply, I’m going to cover some noticeable’s here.
Like the title says I am looking for fantasy games with large worlds filled with factions you can join and a lot of lore like Skyrim and Kingdoms of Amalur.
