Super cool shortcut by Federico Viticci. Very powerful.
I used Base64 Encode/Decode with a URL hosted .wav file (http://www.coolbiz.com/wav/tim.wav) to create a shortcut that will play Tim’s grunt every time the shortcut runs.

Call the shortcut either directly from the share sheet, or copy paste the text if you execute the shortcut manually. Changes the capitalization of your text to alternating, puts it over the meme and shares the completed image.
Have Fun!

Have you ever forgotten about a subscription trial until you were charged?
Use this shortcut when you sign up for a trial to immediately cancel and enjoy your trial period with no risk! If the sub proves valiable, subscribe when the trial ends. If not? No more accidents!
Honestly the simplest shortcut I’ve made, but genuinely helpful to save money.

Hey folks, due to goofy changes at Twitter it’s no longer possible to definitively tell which users paid for checkmarks and which ones actually got them the by being notable.
I’ve published a shortcut called Checkmate that reads Twitter’s API data and tells you the exact verification situation for any user. It can tell you if they’re notable, if they paid, or if they were notable AND paid.
It’s pretty easy to use, just select it from the share sheet on any tweet or user.
You can find out more and download it here: https://routinehub.co/shortcut/14777

Enjoy!
Does anyone know of a URL scheme for Flight Preview? Hoping to make a shortcut and use this feature in Calendar items, so far it only seems automatic in iMessage or Mail as far as I can tell.

I’m Jacob Silverman, the host of CBC’s new podcast The Naked Emperor, which charts the stratospheric rise and fall of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried.
Last fall, Sam Bankman-Fried was a crypto tycoon. Only 31 years old, his empire – the crypto exchange FTX, the hedge fund Alameda Research, and a slew of mysterious companies scattered around the world – was worth an estimated $32 billion.
Sam wasn’t like the other moguls. He was trusted. Investors, experts, and celebrities sang his praises. Tom Brady and Kevin O’Leary endorsed him, regulators took selfies with him, and politicians met with him regularly on Capitol Hill. Though he lived in a luxury estate, Sam was cast as endearingly frugal. He drove a Toyota Corolla, he was an advocate for government regulation, and as FTX grew to be one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world, he said he would give his billions away.
But instead, he lost it all, in what has been called “one of history’s …
I know that this is a community loving podcasts and I would love to know what’s you first amazing/disturbing/facing podcast that got you to love this format?
My ideal type is one that can create a good rapport with the interviewee but that touch really sensible topics nonetheless
Don’t ask why.
I am really just looking for books with a decent plot and a solid amount of smut. Not proud of it but here we are. Wondering if I could get anything on here I didn’t find on BookTok
What books just gave you a warm glow? My tastes are so wide, any genre will do.
Can someone suggest me a similar book?
In your opinion, is there an author (who mainly writes fiction novels) that presented many of their own philosophical theories through their character(s) or narrative? This could be anything from existentialism, ethics/moral philosophy, epistemology, nihilism, etc, etc. Sorry, I’m not sure how to articulate this clearly. But what I’m trying to ask is that is there a novelist you have found to have a unique philosophical lens that they showcased in their writing, despite not actually being a philosopher. I don’t mean that they read/understood other philosophers and adopted those beliefs and then wrote them into their story, rather this novelist has no clue that they could actually be a philosopher themself considering the profound ideas that their reader has been exposed to through their writing.
I hope this isn’t a stupid question.
I recently finished Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer and I’m looking for more nonfiction with a strong narrative. I’ve read Into the Wild, and I’m the ordering Under the Banner of Heaven and The Climb by Anatoli Boukreev.
Any other nonfiction titles I should try? What are some of your favorites?
By this I mean the person endured unthinkable trauma constantly throughout their life from the time they were born and then through their own strength rebuilt their life in adulthood.
Thank you.
—- Thank you for all the suggestions everyone! I’m glad other people understand my desire for an inspiring story. I was a little worried this was kind of a weird request haha.
I realized recently that one of the aspects of both Subnautica and FAR: Lone Sails that I loved most is the idea of traveling around and exploring dangerous places in a homey feeling ship. (also something I enjoyed about both Firefly and The Expanse series, fwiw.) It’s kind of a strange way to categorize games, but does anyone have suggestions that fit the vibe?
I’ve recently got interested in deep simulation games. The more complex the better. I’m in for ANY kind of simluation. Management, farming, economic, whatever. I like stuff where you need to manage more things at once. For example, you take care of your farm, and at the same time you need to manage your employees and automation factory. And things like that.
These are the games I’ve already played, so please don’t recommend these:
- Farming Simulator 22
- Factorio (and all the factorio clones really)
- Big Ambitions
- Software INC
- Kerbal Space Program
- Stardew Valles / Coral Island
- Cities Skylines
- Parkitect (and other “classic” tycoon games)
I’m really looking for some hidden gem :)
I like playing games as they’re made, but I also like making them my own. Lately, I’ve been spending hours browsing mods for Rimworld and testing all the ways I can combine them to create a different “feel” and experience for the game. Are there any other games with as much potential for modding and customization?
