After copying the shortcuts to your device, just create an automation (shown in the second photo) that runs the respective shortcut for each of the following:
1) When charger is connected (this shortcut is needed for the next two to work): https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/3fa934a0e01b428fb927a7f9e7c63bbe
2) When battery level is 100% (shows a notification when charging completes so you know when to unplug your phone): https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/d2a84a00284d4a46b937471df9cd70f7
3) When charger is disconnected (shows the notification only if you disconnect before the battery level reaches 100%): https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/23fa9d45b1b94f03a9adda94fb09a257
Feel free to modify them based on your own charging habits. You can change how the notifications are phrased or at what % you want to be notified for. I also put comments inside the script so you know the significance of each command and can easily edit it to your preference.
I did modify the basic Tea Timer to a useful pleasure. See screenshots attached. Enjoy 😉
Pretty cool, took some doing for sure, but lmk if anyone wants any help
I made this shortcut to take pictures taken in portrait mode and replace the background with a professional background or with a custom image using a url.
You’ll just need to crop after the photo is saved.

Title says it all. When I open the phone app, I’d like it to go to either the contacts page or to the phone dialer page, not where I left off. Cant anyone share the deep link URLs for these two locations with me?
Additionally, I’ve looked through the prior posts and have found some answers to this, but hoping for something even better: What are the best sites, apps, or other resources you all use to find these deep link URLs?
Thank in advance
Warning to anyone who gives it a go: it is very disturbing and deeply emotional. It features a man recounting his encounter with a Grizzly bear while out hunting. I had to pause it a few times just to…stop, for a minute, and take a breather.
Anyway, if you want to get wrecked on your morning commute or whatever, this is for you.
Im new to this and one thing I am discovering is so many people doing podcasts covering things solely on their personal viewpoint. How Susie dealt with anxiety last year after XYZ, or how Bobby lost weight when he tried eating blueberries for a whole month. I discover podcasts and when I look up who runs it they are “internet celebrities”. Are there any good podcasts that are actually run by experts in their field?
I need something new to listen to on the bus. I’m looking specifically for a podcast that doesn’t have a single topic but every episode is something different. What those episodes are can be pretty much anything but I’m looking specifically for true stories and real history, etc. I just want to know a bunch about some different topics! I love collecting random bits of information that’s really in depth but useless so that’s the kind of thing I’m looking for. It can be history, true crime, science. Anything really!
I’ve been to rehab 7 times. Whoop-de-doo. People that haven’t been to rehab and only know about it from MTV shows have a common misconception that it’s a sad place. Whenever I’ve started to tell people a story from rehab they get a somber look on their faces. Uh, no. Rehab was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. It’s the most egregiously human thing anyone can take part in. It’s like being a part of some insane social experiment.
Take people off the street, detox them from drugs then throw them into a place they can’t leave where they eat, sleep, discuss, cry, and laugh together. As they recover from detox their bodies become alive with energy and clarity (the so-called pink cloud). They’re extremely bored with nothing to do besides sit through lectures and interact with other people going through the same thing. They become kids again. Hijinks ensue. Then they tell a story about watching their best friend die. It’s wild. …
I have been listening to dateline but true crime before bed is messing up my dreams/sleep. Something interesting but with maybe a more monotone less excited voice so I’m not winding up instead of winding down.
I’d Like Short Stories Or Maybe Novellas That I Can Finish In One Sitting That Send Positive Vibes.
Mom enjoys reading almost anything, but some authors she likes are Elizabeth George, Robert Crais, GM Ford, Stephen King, James Lee Burke, Shirley Jackson, and Janet Evanovich. She’s read the whole Clan of the Cave Bear series, Lord of the Rings, How to Train Your Dragon, and more than I can list.
She likes horror and fantasy, but I’d like to keep it light and at least mostly cheery because…hospital.
I like to consider myself an ally of Queer and Trans people but I confess that I still don’t ‘get’ what it means to be Trans. Any books to help me understand?
Hey everyone, I’m always looking for new books to add to my reading list, so I thought I’d ask: what’s your favorite book that you’ve read so far in 2023?
Personally, I recently finished reading “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig and absolutely loved it. It’s a thought-provoking story about regret, second chances, and the importance of living in the present moment. I highly recommend it!
Hi,
Pretty much the title. A bookshop is running a giveaway where they essentially pay for your wishlist (up to the value of £200) and I’m struggling to fill up my wishlist with new and interesting books.
That’s where you come in. Suggest me anything. Fiction, non-fiction or anything between. No classics though. As an English student, I’ve already read a lot of them cover to cover. I’m looking for something more contemporary.
Thank in advance for your help. I’m looking forward to reading the suggestions.
Edit: I know I said thanks in the original post but I just had to say it again. I didn’t expect this many suggestions to be honest, yet I’ve looked into them all and many have been added to the wishlist. I’ll keep checking the post until the closing date (2nd May) in case anything new and really interesting comes through. And if anyone’s interested, I’ll edit this again and let you know the results of the giveaway.
A book where the the protagonist basically insults you for reading
catcher in the rye and the haunting of hill house are two of my favorite books because i relate so much with the protagonists and (as cheesy as it is) they make me feel seen.
i’m currently reading the perks of being a wallflower and looking for more books with these kinds of protagonists.
A lot of games are obscure because they’re trash. But what odd, hidden games have you found that you’d stand behind for a recommendation?
Hi all,
I absolutely love the world that Cyberpunk77 is set in, but my husband assures me I will hate the storyline. I love all the futuristic elements and big open world spaces, beautiful colours and graphics.
But I also love cosy games (Stardew Valley), or hero type games (new love: Horizon Zero Dawn series. Old love: Mass Effect trilogy)
Any suggestions on games that might fit my weirdly specific love?
Thanks!!
Probably a weird question (BONK GO TO HORNI JAIL) but i’ve always found it weird that nudity is kind of taboo in games, especially talking about big games/triple A games or even indies.
One of the few games i’ve seen some nudity and adult themes is cyberpunk2077, the witcher games, exanima and GTA V.
Mind you i’m not talking about adult only games like>! house party!< or something.
I’m honestly not sure what I’m looking for, I’m just trying to scratch an itch that I haven’t been able to.
Recently played Sun Haven and had a great time but it got me hankering for a game I can’t seem to find, pretty sure it doesn’t exist, lol.
Some things I’m looking for:
I played Outer Wilds a few years ago and thought it was cool that although it took me a week to complete it, you could complete the entire game in less than 20 minutes if you know exactly what to do.
Are there any other similar games to this?
I’m not such a fan of multiplayer games (I’ve played EvE, WoW, FFXIV and ESO). However, I’m finding most singleplayer games fill me with a sense of loneliness. I think it may boil down to bad or unrealistic AI that makes NPCs feel lifeless and dead (which of course, they are).
This may be a longshot, but are there any singleplayer games that don’t feel lonely like this? Perhaps ones where you don’t feel like you’re the only living thing around, even though you are?
EDIT:
Thank you everyone for your replies. I appreciate the help. I’m going to try a few of these starting with Genshin Impact. I’ve heard the name everywhere, and I figure I’ll see what it’s about. Not my usual cuppa, though.
