mash up of two old combos/tricks that i still like but dont do often enough, i really like the chopstick slack and how silly the red triangle stuff is (will try to work on catching the trapeze part of the triangle mid suicide too, but the little jump is really fun to hit)

This is incredibly sad.
“In 2021, Mississippi agreed to pay Mr. Flowers $500,000 over 10 years as compensation for wrongful imprisonment.” 👀
I badly need something that keeps me entertained on the bus when I’m going to work
What podcast/specific episode has lingered in your mind after hearing it?
What about it sticks with you?
It has been a super rough year. My best friend passed in May, my dog passed in August, and my girlfriend of 3 1⁄2 years and I broke up in September.
I’ve lost all the people in my life I go to with my life from the big things to the small. I’ve even lost my constant companion at home and now it feels empty in a tangible and emotional way.
What podcast exist that give you a feeling of companionship and friendship. My favorites and weekly listens include Gamers with Jobs, Besties, MBMBaM, and Critical Role. I don’t need suggestions to be anything like these I’m looking more for the vibe or help with the sad than any particular content.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
Halloween is just around the corner - bring on fall/autumn vibes! - and I’m in the mood for some spooky podcasts 👻
What do you recommend that will raise the hair on the nape of my neck?
It doesn’t have to be horror or paranormal - just heebie-jeebies inducing 😱
I’ve just been diagnosed with postpartum depression. I feel like I used to be such a curious person with such a wide variety of interests & now I really struggle to find pleasure in anything I used to like, especially learning. I feel like I don’t care anymore and I want to find something that lights me up. I am in treatment but I thought listening to some podcasts during the day as I’m immersed in many mundane tasks might spark my curiosity for life again. Any interesting suggestions?
edit: i just found ”the joy of why” by steven strogatz and that’s exactly the kind of thing i used to love. but honestly open to ANY genre! thank you so much everyone🥰🙏
Looking for a fantasy novel set in a magical school or university that’s *not* Dark Academia. Meaning the setting probably includes one or more of the following (doesn’t need all):
- Instead of an expensive, selective “elite” school, it’s public or otherwise widely accessible
- Instead of a secret magical world, everyone knows magic exists, it’s just a particular skill; going to magic school is like going to art school or med school
- Instead of a dark / sinister tone and Oxford-esque aesthetic, the setting has an entirely different tone and aesthetic. It could be the opposite (whimsical / optimistic tone, urban garden gnome aesthetic?) or it could be in a totally unrelated direction.
- Instead of violence being an expected part of school, it’s either not a part of the plot at all, OR…
-…an act of violence such a departure from what’s expected it forms the core plot (I.e. a murder mystery, not Murder Academy)
- Instead …
I’d like to read some books about women who are absolutely furious. They’ve had to be reliable, controlled, mature and competent for everyone, always fine, always the adult. They’ve played by the rules their whole lives, but they are not rewarded for it.
They reach a breaking point and finally snap. It could be a messy explosion, but I would prefer women channeling their feelings into a cold, hard, controlled fury. I’d like to read visceral descriptions female rage. The protagonist doesn’t have to be sympathetic, but I want to understand why she’s angry. Like Gone Girls >!Amy is not a sympathetic main character, but i understand where her fury comes from.!<
Hello! I am huge reader who loves Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Romantasy (fantasy with a subplot of romance not romance in a fantasy world), classics, dystopian novels, and am interested in thrillers/mysteries but find they often fall flat.
I’m always the recommended never the recommended so I need something GOOD.
I’m really craving an addictive series.
Fav Fantasies: Cosmere (specifically words of radiance), Wheel of Time, Bound and the Broken, Green Bone Saga, First Law, Name of the Wind, DCC, Throne of Glass, Fourth Wing, Will of the Many
Fav Sci-Fi: Suneater, Project Hail Mary, The Martian, Foundation, RED RISING
Fav Classics/Dystopian: A clockwork orange, animal farm, Frankenstein, Monte Cristo, Three Musketeers
Other miscellaneous books/stories I love: Alice in Wonderland, Homer, The Labours of Herakles, Sword of Kaigen, Tress of the Emerald Sea, Book of Doors, This is How we Lose the Time War, The Princess Bride, The Queens Gambit
I love philosophy, chosen one tropes, social …
it is nearing the end of the year and I wanted to do a blackout on the bingo board but am getting stumped with the last few prompts. My reading preference is fiction, mainly scifi/fantasy. I would prefer not overly long books my comfort zone is around the 200-400 page length. I would also prefer standalone books as I need to hard focus on the prompts (I have 11 left, not all are listed just the ones I am having trouble picking for). Here are the prompts:
-a book with a turtle on the cover. Honestly open to most things; please no childrens/picture books, though.
-a book translated from German.
-an Indigenous author’s debut novel
-a book by an African author
-a thanksgiving romance (short suggestions would be appreciated as romance is not my favorite genre)
Hello,
Have read quite a lot of antiracist books, social justice themes, and generally books with race and civil rights as a key theme by Black authors.
I’ve read a lot of heavy stuff recently and I’d like to try some fiction that covers different themes around Black experience, particularly Black joy and love etc (not to say that there can’t be any mention of racism in there, appreciate that’s a big ask)
Any good suggestions out there?
Open to non-fiction and other suggestions by Global Majority authors too!
So I never read any of the classic books some people have in school. Lord of the Flies, 1984, Moby Dick, Frankenstein, Dracula, Odyssey, Brave New World, The Hobbit, Beowulf, Fahrenheit 451, The Great Gatsby, etc
Only books I have read and completed in my life are Wheel of Time Book 1: The Eye of the World, Ready Player One, Hail Mary Project, Be Water, My Friend.
So what are some classic books you that you read in school growing up that stuck with you, clicked for you and just absolutely loved journey you had reading it, that I might be missing out on? Or am I not really missing out on reading any of these and they were better suited for kids learning to read, do critical thinking and studying the plot as a group.
Not really talking about things like trigger warnings or “warning: adult content”, moreso the game giving advice on how to best enjoy it and/or telling you to prepare for things to be unpleasant if that makes sense
Project Zomboid starts with “This is how you died”
Darkest Dungeon tells you to to expect things to go horribly wrong all the time
Amnesia: The Dark Descent sort of does this when it tells you it shouldn’t be played to win
Like in Mount and Blade or Battle brothers for example, the world feels like a living organism.
Or Stalker Anomaly, Tarkov SPT with questing and looting bots.
I just started playing Quasimorph it also scratches that itch, enemy pmc companies are also accepting quests and sometimes from the other side so you have to fight.
As the title says, I’m looking for something to completely submerge my consciousness in as my life crumbles around me. Just got broken up with, lost a friendship of over 8 years, and lost my job of almost 4 years all in the same day.
One of my all-time favorite games is Skyrim. I have thousands of hours across almost every platform it has released on since launch, but I can’t bring myself to play it at the moment so I’m looking for any/everything similar.
Any suggestions/recommendations are more than welcome, but open-world rpgs are the top priority at the moment.
Edit: Thank you everyone so much for the kind words and genuine suggestions, it truly means a lot. Life may look very bleak right now, but once you’re at the bottom the only way you can go is up. I apologize in advance if I’m unable to reply to everyone but I promise I will go through every single suggestion as soon as possible. Cheers 🥂
This is going to be very specific but I’m looking for a perfect hybrid of Moonlighter 2 and Graveyard Keeper 2.
Dungeon crawling either at night, or one of the days of the week to get unique materials. But for the rest of the day/week, you manage a farm, improve your character, craft things needed by NPCs, and build a town/rebuild a destroyed town. I dunno how to explain further but all I can imagine is Moonlighter 2’s dungeon crawling and GYK2’s town rebuilding mechanics + farming (minus the corpses and grave management)
Maybe a little bit of action and battle mechanics from Core Keeper.
I’m only able to play on PC btw as I’m not really a console person so Steam games would be preferred. Thanks in advance!
I have a set of mods that I use for Skyrim which make camping more immersive, especially in vr. I have found that what I really enjoy is just setting up camp in the plains of Whiterun, hunting wildlife, occasionally heading into town to trade with the locals, foraging, mixing a potion here and there, crafting things from my hunting trophies, and overall just relaxing in the wild. After a while I might pack up camp, head to a different hold, and do it over again. I don’t bother with quests, stories, etc; If i’m doing it in VR I might break from camping just to pull up Vermillion and paint.
Essentially, I am doing my best to turn skyrim into a hermit-enjoys-retirement-alone-in-their-fantasy-medieval-cottage simulator.
Are there any games (ideally medieval/fantasy, though other genres are probably fine) that actually focus more on just living your best life, rather than some world ending quest or divine destiny or whatever? It’s fine if that’s part of the game to …
Steam is my preferred platform.
I am looking for games that feature a Bestiary, i.e an in-game encyclopedia for enemies/wildlife that you can find in the game. The bestiary is instantly 10x better if this Bestiary includes lore information.
Examples would be the Pokedex in any pokemon game, Digipedia in Digimon, Monsterpedia in Monster hunter, etc. The Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters have bestiaries but it makes me sad that there’s no lore for the enemies.
Thanks in advance. I prefer the games to be on steam, but beyond that any genre and any level of obscurity is fine.

And yeah you can still click outside the window.
If you try to use Quick Look on a html file it won’t allow you to click anything meaning that you have to convert .html to .webloc for JavaScript to work in Quick Look. I managed to create a simple Calculator and a working Wikipedia website in that small windows. I wish every website work but they don’t.
Also please hold on the file and select Quick Look to view it, if you click normally on a file nothing will happen it’s Apple’s Limitation.
You can drag and drop files too!
