Möbius is a substyle of 1A that I created a while back. It utilizes the fingerloop into tricks. This trick is called Hoopla, with an added flytrap that I’ve been working on recently (where the loop is released and caught back on my fingers). More on Möbius here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GpDsYTKGMY and flytrap variations by Zammy here https://youtu.be/JdGHfMZRROM?si=D_7ZuaYo-cuKn2GL

Hi everyone. I’m incredible ill and in so much pain that I’m bedridden, and seeking some podcasts I can binge to distract myself from the situation I’m in.
I want a single case stretched out over episodes or seasons. I prefer missing person stories, I like some audio from police interviews and 911 calls, I like courtroom drama, I’m okay with supernatural/unexplained elements.
My favorite all-timers were Cold, Teacher’s Pet, Piketown Massacre, season 2 of Up & Vanished, Your Own Backyard, and Three (season 1, Skylar Neese). And most episodes of “someone know something.”
Just no-frills news like the old network evening news shows. Edit: Not about just one news event or one topic, but looking more for summary of the day (think old 22-minute evening news with Peter Jennings/Dan Rather). Audio only
I struggle to sleep alone so I normally whack on a podcast and fall asleep to it. I need a normal podcast that I can pay attention to easily and is preferably informative (so it feels productive)
I’ve been using emma chamberlains for a long while but it’s not hitting the spot recently but I like it because it’s casual and it’s a woman’s voice. I’m not looking for asmr or meditation. Any suggestions? TIA
(Spotify listener)
I’ve recommended this podcast here before. I love Rob Harvila the host, but will admit he’s a lot. His long reminiscences about eating sugar cereal while watching 80s TV growing up in Ohio are hilarious but may not be for everyone.
His latest episode feels like an especially accessible one though. It explains the song “How to Save a Life” by the Fray by walking through the history of the use of piano-forward ballads on medical soap operas, from General Hospital through ER, Grey’s Anatomy, and Scrubs. And he takes a detour to rank the songs that include the lyrics “I want you to know.” All in all I enjoyed listening and feel a new connection to a song I never cared about.

I remember this interesting story. I’m guessing it was a pod that features individual stories from people’s lives but honestly that’s all I’ve got. I can’t remember the name of the pod and I might not be subscribed anymore.
In this story, a woman tells about meeting a guy she met online at a restaurant bar. He tells her to order a fireball drink and wait for him, he is running late. She says the bartender keeps checking on her and seems to be watching her and them both once the date arrives. She goes to the bathroom and a waitress goes in behind her and tells her that this man always meets different women here, he always tells them to order that drink, and then something about how all the employees get a super creepy feeling about him. The waitress accompanies the woman out to her car I think. Does this ring a bell at all with anyone?
Hi all. I’m looking for podcast recommendations where the hosts are just having casual conversations about everyday things. Can be serious or light hearted. Discussing current events, books, games, anything really. Just really good conversation style podcasts please. Thanks!
Edit - thank you all! I appreciate all the recommendations and can’t wait to check them out.
It can be from any genre, but it must be a standalone book and not part of a series, one-and-done :) Extra points if it left such an impact on you that you consider rereading it occasionally.
Mine is My Friends by Fredrik Backman
With everything going on in the U.S. right now, I’m looking for a book that doesn’t sugarcoat history , something that digs deep, challenges the comfortable version we’re taught, and lays out the systems and events that led to where we are today. Basically, something that makes you uncomfortable because it’s honest.
What’s the one book you think everyone needs to read to really understand this country?
Who is the author that you most highly rate for their entire body of work?
I’m looking for non-fiction books that are interesting to read like a fictional story. Something easy to read and intriguing maybe like “American Kingpin”, but open to really any genre.
Won my fantasy league last year, and the loser of the league must complete a book report on the book of my choosing, so help me make him suffer as much as possible.
Edit: thanks a ton for all these excellent suggestions. Hillbilly Elegy is the winner, so that the loser may learn of the man who killed Pope Francis. Thanks again!
I wanted to know which games you think every gamer should play, I always have this in my head, every now and then someone talks about a game that everyone seems to have played when they were kids and I’ve never heard of or heard of a classic that I’ve never played or didn’t even know was a classic, can anyone tell me so I can start chasing them?
I’m looking for a game where you essentially start from nothing and have to make something of yourself. This can either be like an action game, sim game anything like that but you start with basically nothing. Thank you for any suggestions
A few points…
I don’t mean something like skipping the main quest in Skyrim, or any “make your own fun” stuff like Dwarf Fortress, or self-imposed challenges, etc. I mean something that is an intended bunch of stuff to do.
I also mean something where there’s a solid reason to do it, not just cosmetics or gold sinks they threw in to pad out the game.
I don’t mean “new game plus” situations.
I already know about Monster Hunter, and nearly every diablo-like, and Nioh 1⁄2.
I like to just turn my brain off and wander around in game worlds sometimes. But most games seem to want to include various mechanics surrounding the exploration that I feel just get in the way, sometimes. I don’t want to fight anything and I don’t want to have to solve a puzzle to get to the next area. Nor do I want to have to run away from any threats.
I just want to wander around. At most, a little parkour. Kind of like Digital Urbexing. I know you can enter GMOD maps and Minecraft maps, and I’ve seen a game called Dreamcore that seems to embody this idea to a degree. I was wondering if there’s anything beyond this, though? I figure it can’t be that unpopular of a concept…
So either recommend a game that isn’t scary at all and super cute (like animal crossing or something) or a game that starts out cute but goes absolutely crazy (something like doki doki) but DONT tell me which it is.
And I don’t mean the main character. I mean in a meta way. The player themself.
Examples of games like this that I have played:
Deltarune (Kris, the protagonist, constantly fights the player)
OneShot (the player is the god of the world, directly communicating with Niko)
Undertale (I think it technically counts)
The shortcuts app could be used to create 100+ action worklflows, yet most (including me) use 1-3 action Shortcuts.
I‘m bored and need a challenge. I already automated most of the things I can on my iPhone. Does anyone have any shortcuts they want made? Or ideas they haven‘t made yet? I just want a new puzzle I can figure out.
Edit: OMG I just woke up to find that my post exploded. Was not expecting that. I promise I‘ll look at each comment but it might take a while.
Edit 2: For everyone wondering about a clipboard manager. I think this might be the large project I saw. So definitely go check it out.

Created a personal finance Apple Numbers Spread Sheet with Apple numbers input. It is a combination of my old personal finance spreadsheet income manager and apple shortcuts for input, but then added the charts from u/Own-Place6492 post a few months ago and …
I was inspired by u/unfortunatelyrich ‘s recent post in r/iOSBeta about the possibility of a chatbot using Apple Intelligence’s new Shortcuts capabilities and created one with conversation awareness. It creates a text file named On-Device AI chat log.txt and adds to it with every reply. I set a loop for 20 exchanges, but you can set it to the number you want, although I haven’t tested it with a lot of messages. I might find a better way to do this soon.
I wasn’t able to make it delete the file when you click cancel, but you can do it manually in Files/iCloud Drive/Shortcuts (might be On My iPhone if you don’t use iCloud Drive).
It’s incredible you can use this offline, although the iPhone gets hot quickly. I’ve been able to make it hallucinate pretty easily, so don’t go thinking you’ll be able to replace ChatGPT with it. Private Cloud Compute does seem to perform a lot better.
