I’m just curious to see what limits you can reach with the automations?
I just saw a commercial about that Galaxy S24 feature and find it kind of funny I just used a shortcut for ages that works pretty familiar to this lol
Make sure you’re connected to your google account-hope you enjoy :)

IOS 17 introduced a shortcut automation that provides information on transactions that you’ve used your iPhone/ipad to tap to pay for.

It’s a really easy and powerful automation to setup and allows you to track how much you’re spending day to day.

For this tutorial I’ll be showing how to set up the automation using WalletPal - link to app

But these steps will work with any app that supports the shortcut

Steps to setup automation:

2) tap on “new automation” or the “+” button in the top right corner …
Yesterday I shared my Shortcut with decent reception.
A few people had some suggestions so I added them in this update.
Let me know if there’s anything else that would be useful to add.
Version 0.7 Release Notes:
Quickly access settings or toggles that are burried under several taps. This Shortcut is inspired by the old-school jailbreak tweak, SBSettings.
When running this Shortcut it will display some information about your device and the network it is connected to, among a few other useful pieces of information.
The control center Wi-Fi toggle only disconnects from a network for 24 hours, which can be annoying if you actually want to just turn it off. The first option that appears will let you completely turn it off, as well as show if Wi-Fi is on or off.
This setting should be on at almost all times IMHO, but it is buried under four taps and it can’t be toggled with Siri.
Luckily, Shortcuts supports turning it on and off with a native action. Since there’s no way to track if it’s on or off, Toolbox Pro Global Variables must be used to track its state. Because of that it’s …

I’m new to podcast listening and I’m looking for something that’s scary with things like, true horror stories, true paranormal, true demonic, etc. I use Amazon music so something on there preferably.
After devouring the story of John B McLemore I’ve forever been searching for something to fill the void of story telling depicting such human emotion until yesterday when I found… The Ballad Of Billy Balls.
I have seen this come up many times in my search for another S-Town but avoided it due to its title. I shouldn’t have slept on it so long, it was gripping, heart wrenching and raw. A true window into someone’s world.
Before this I tried the following to scratch the itch to no avail… Bear Brook, Sweet Bobby, Into the Dark, Dirty John, the Shrink Next Door, Hunting Warhead, Your Own Backyard. (The latter two were great but in a different sense)
I believe it’s because my love of S-Town didn’t come from the true crime element but the exploration of complex human beings and that’s why the Ballad Of Billy Balls really got me.
I just started listening to Love + Radio and was really enjoying it. Today I listened to the episode Points of Egress. My jaw dropped multiple times while I was listening to it. I even texted my husband halfway through to tell him he MUST listen on his drive home tonight. Then I got to the last few minutes and I was like “okay this is too over the top now. Is this real?” And of course, in the last few seconds they said “today’s story was performed and written by blah blah based on the story blah blah”. They did not say once in the intro to the episode that this was fictional. Im not against listening to a short story style podcast, but I need to know going into it. Otherwise I can’t trust anything I’m listening to. I’ve seen other people ask on this sub whether it’s real or not and the comments are all like “yeah! Real and amazing stories! Such a great podcast!” Wtf I feel duped.
Recently started listening to podcasts the first being Darknet Diaries and I am just gushing over how great it is. Jack Rhysider seems to be extremely knowledgeable on the subject and presents it so articulately.
I am making a list, open to all topics/genres. What was your first podcast?
//Happy Hunting lol
I find my mind wanders when I listen to podcasts then I realized I missed the last couple minutes and have to rewind.
I don’t know why, but I’m craving this specific kind of books. So far this year, I have read Boy Parts and Self-Portrait with Boy, so the plot can be about pretty much anything, but I’d like to read more novels featuring characters like that.
Hoping to get some recommendations!
The High House
Piranesi
Project Hail Mary
Under the Whispering Door
Normally when I’m reading a book, I’ll still punctuate the experience with other hobbies or entertainment.
I’m looking for books you have read that you just could not do anything else (spare time wise) until you finished.
Any genre!
I recently started the 50 States Reading Challenge. I’m going to read books that take place in each of the 50 states of America! Suggest me your favorite book (any genre) and tell me which state it takes place in! (The town can be fictional!) TIA!
But is there somewhere I can go to find recommendations for phenomenal books, I’m talking like modern day literary masterpieces.. I’m so tired of booktok and Colleen Hoover and all of the same old authors with average or below average work. I need WRITING. Like beautiful, poetic, metaphors… people that can truly truly write. I have wasted so much money on audible purchasing books with 4-5 stars only to find the writing so juvenile, short choppy repeating sentences, and just nothing of substance. Sometimes I can suffer through them for the story, but other times I really just want a good story AND great writing. I don’t even have a preferred genre, I just want to be blown away every single time I finish a book lol, but it rarely happens.
Maybe there is a book club or a website for people that are just really very harsh critics ?? lol please someone send me there
Suggest me a book that is nonfiction but is so unbelievable and captivating that it reads like fiction.
My vote goes to TF2.
Let me know what you think. Thanks!
I know, kinda weird, but I think this is a cool mechanic in games. Perfect example is “Sifu.” I’m only an hour in, but the revive mechanic is really cool. It feels like a blessing from a deity, enemies comment on it, and it isn’t simply respawning. Sekiro is another good example, a game I put hundreds of hours in.

Another game that handles this idea differently than the first two is Minecraft. I tend to play are hardcore, which makes death legitimately threatening. Once I loot a totem of undying, it feels like I just received a huge power buff, death is no longer the end for me.

I want it to feel powerful, like its a big deal when it happens. It can be a central mechanic to the game, but I want it to be a big deal. Any genre is fine. Any suggestions?
i’ve always loved gaming, it serves like a source of escape to me, but since my schedule in college became very tight it became very hard to play a game because i end up leaving it for more than a week then lose interest. the only time i can really enjoy a game is the vacations. but another problem arises which is that i don’t feel like playing, or to put in more accurate words, i’m too tired to play or to focus on a game. that doesn’t take long though as i always find one game that makes me fully immersed in it that i won’t leave it until i beat and then (like dominos) my passion starts again.
The difference now is that i have only 2 weeks on my hand so i can’t sit and wait until maybe i find a game that kindles my passion again soooooo what do you suggest ?
i remember games that helped me return my passion in many occurrences were Batman : Arkham asylum (i played the series in literally 7 days, arkham city i finished in 2 days), Resident Evil 4 …
Hey, I have a fractured right hand. It may or may not be relevant, I am a lefty.
Does anyone know of any games or have any suggestions.
I didn’t realize how much I took my hand for granted.
Obscure post but whatever. I’m aware of DOS2 and it is incredible, as it provides many role playing aspects that come with being a skeleton, I just wish there was a wider variety that offered the same depth and engagement that Larian offers. I just feel so skelly-starved when it comes to gaming, any current/ future game devs that may be reading this, I implore you to make a game or at least an option in character creation that allows for skeleton/ undead (mainly skeleton) involvement or role playing. I just wanna live out my fantasy I’ve imagined ever since I watched a pirate skeleton drink wine in pirates of the Caribbean, and the wine proceeded to flow out of his empty ribs.
For me it has to be World of Warcraft?
What do you think? Let me know!
