I don’t know if this is how others would approach this or not but it ended with the result I was looking for.
I saw another users post on here about using GPT to reply to text messages. The issue was a dialogue box kept opening resulting in the shortcut not working. The fix for this was turning off the ‘continuous chat’ option in the GPT action. This created an issue where, with every text, it had no recall into previous messages and couldn’t reply using context of any kind.
Here is my solution and it actually works really well. I need to make some adjustments but that really comes down to my horrible prompt writing.
Basically: What’s your favorite app that you use with Shortcuts?
Mine was Toolbox Pro, now it’s Actions since it provides so much additional functionality that should be native.
Maybe someone mentions a hidden gem that improves the daily workflow of many users.
This shortcut allows you to send out an emergency alert message with your current location (not live location sharing, only the location at the time of sending).
Address is provided, a maps URL as fallback and for convenience, lastly the Latitude and longitude as a last resort in case the previous ones failed.
After installing, please test run the shortcut to grant all the permissions needed.

Is there any way you could use the ask chat-GPT, something I thought could work was if I used automations and had chat-GPT respond that the text and then send chat-GPT’s response to the sender, I’m going to attach what i made and what happens when someone texts me, for context I’m going to ask for the quadratic formula. Also when you tap done all it does is generate a new reply and doesn’t send it.
Into something hyperspecific? Found a podcast talking about that thing? (bonus points if said thing could be considered ‘odd’)
this is the place to talk about it! I want to find more underrated podcasts to listen to. I’m excited to see what y’all suggest!

also, to answer my own question & toss a recommendation out: NeuroDiving is a philosophy podcast focused on the autistic perspective & so far its incredible!
The illusion of being the “quiet and only listening friend in the room” is present just enough to make it feel like we’re talking shit, musing, telling stories, and laughing with people we actually know—which we kinda do and it’s weird: we know their biographies, personality traits, ticks, etc—and think of as friends.

If I’ve never said it- thank you to this group. I’ve found many more interesting and fun podcasts. Many members are positive and supportive. I know as I’ve used to be in other groups which led to attacking, vulgar language etc. this group does not seem to be like that and it is so refreshing and pleasant to be here. Thank you!!
There can’t be many that have gone that long, are there?
I’m slowly running my favourites archive dry, and I’m looking for something new and interesting to listen to.
Searching online, and even on Reddit, the vast majority of recommendations seem to be true crime podcasts, or similar. Just not my jam.
Some of my current favourites to gauge my tastes are;
-Titanium Physicist Podcast
-Sean Carrol’s Mindscape
-No such thing as a Fish
-Hardcore History
-The Rest is History
-Starts with a Bang
-Orbital Mechanics
-Behind the Bastards
-Ologies
-Guardian’s Long Read
If there’s anything else like Titanium Physicists out there, I would be immensely grateful. I’ve chewed through that archive twice, and it’s SO good, even if the production value is kind of trash.
I usually listen to true crime, parenting and sports related podcasts
Some of my favorites include: No Dunks, around the NFL, any locked on and my local teams podcasts, dateline, sold a story, serial (only s1), and some local radio stations personnel. I used to listen to the moth, risk, this American life about 7 years ago when I was still working, but I haven’t since, maybe they’re still good?
I’m getting quite bored of all my regulars and looking to branch out. All recommendations are appreciated.
Interested to see what everyone is currently reading and hopefully I will get some ideas for my next book. Possibly this triggers a genre/subject I wouldn’t have even thought of!
EDIT: WOW, I did NOT expect such a huge response, but it is AWESOME! I am not sure I can get through all the comments but so far there are some trends… East of Eden, 11/22/63 and a few others. I started jotting down a few books that caught my interest from your comments which turned into 5 pages of books and excitement at reading something new! I am currently reading the Mysterious Mr. Quin short stories. THANK YOU ALL!
Most books don’t stand the test of time. Which ones will?
I would like to have one about a popular case, so I can search more about it after reading it and see if there’s a documentary about it, get as much information as possible.
Edit: Wow this really blew up overnight, thank you all for all the recommendations! I’m open to all suggestions love all you guys. Keep commenting, I am reading all of your comments right now, putting every recommendation in my notes!

Book …
Looking to add some “younger” chapter books for quick read sessions. I know there are a lot of middle grade books that really pack an emotional punch or take you to great adventures. Aside from the usuals (HP series, the little prince, bridge to terabithia, etc.), what are some books from your childhood that you still think about/reread as an adult?
My personal ones are:
The Devil’s Arithmetic by Jane Yolen
The Mysterious Benedict Society series by Trenton Lee Stewart (read this in college but I still loved it then)
Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech
EDIT: So many books and genres! Thank you for all your lovely suggestions, definitely brought back a lot of childhood memories from my school’s library.
For me it’s Philip K Dick’s Ubik. I was absolutely blown away with the story and can imagine a really good movie adaptation of it but alas, there is nothing bar an old 90s video game of it.
My brain has been rotted by the internet and i cant read long or boring texts anymore. Are there any books that are just batshit insane, or really interesting to read? Preferably something sorta popular that you can find at a library. Thanks yall!
My girlfriend likes watching me play games on pc or switch, but only certain ones. I’m nearly at the end of gta 5, and she has watched me play totk (no exploring haha), and super mario sunshine.
A few caveats:
No FPS (makes her dizzy), Controller only, At least somewhat fast paced, preferably with missions (rdr2 is a little too slow), Story is good (see gta 5), but not a ton of boring cut scenes, and already played Super Mario Odyssey
I was thinking Control or maybe Cyberpunk, any other ideas?
I know most MMORPGs have mindless grind, but they are also P2W, so your grind becomes worthless against people who pay. I would also like something where the story doesn’t matter and I can just skip most or all text and cutscenes.
Hi everyone
What games do you think are a total MUST play.
Any genre, system & language.
I enjoy gathering resources in rpg games. but sometimes i really dont like dealing with enemies. so hoping there are good games that are about gathering resources and upgrading your equipment or base. thanks!
Looking for more games to add to my list. Do you have an obscure game many people may not know about but you love/like?
Bored and have $30 on steam ,whats a good game I could get
