Is your photo library out of control like mine? Is the idea of going through and organizing it overwhelming? Well that’s why I built this shortcut. Cut that job up into 365 (or 366 in a leap year!) pieces and clean up a little bit of your photo library every day!
Just set up an automation to run this shortcut once a day. It will show you all of the photos you’ve taken on this date. Look through previews of them, quickly delete any duplicates, old memes, bad photos, etc, then view them all in an album for any further organization you desire (e.g., sorting into albums). Bam, you just organized 1/365th of your photos. By this time next year, you’ll finally have an organized photo library that will be the envy of all your friends and family. And you’ll get to relive lots of fun memories in the meantime as a bonus!
P.S. - Need to see photos from a specific date instead of just today? This shortcut has you covered.
I can execute any shortcut idea that comes to your mind, but I’m looking for something that will challenge me. I know that some people might say, ‘It’s basically the concept of the request flair,’ but people in this subreddit often ask for easy things that aren’t challenging enough for me. So, if you have an idea for a shortcut that you’ve never been able to implement, post it in the comments, and I’ll see what I can do. 😉
Here are a few shortcuts that I’ve created:
Prerequisites: ChatGPT, Scriptable
The YouTube URL is sent to a simple Vercel backend I configured to fetch the video title and transcript.
It only requires Scriptable for processing and displaying the summary neatly in QuickLook for preview.
It will copy the video URL along with the summary to the clipboard.
The prompt is well optimized through prompt engineering and extensive testing. However, you can still modify it to your liking of course.

I had a lot of fun making this and learning a lot about Shortcuts along the way. I hope someone finds it useful!
Hey guys!
I made a Shortcut a while ago called (Funds)[https://routinehub.co/shortcut/17882/] to keep track of cash that I had on me, and after using it for a while I thought about creating one to keep track of gift cards.
I got some gift cards for my birthday so I figured it was a good time to give it a shot.
ShortCards lets you add gift cards, spend from them, and check the balances easily.
I’ve tested it quite a bit so it should be working despite a few bugs in Shortcuts itself. Sometimes it quits if you run it from within the Shortcut.
I am looking for something that will make me feel warm, cozy and happy. I am not looking for anything on mental health or true crime. It’s kind of hard to explain and Idek if this genre even exists but I kinda want a podcast I can get attached to and you know like a comfort podcast. Lol sorry if it made no sense
Music artists are paid per stream (though not very much as we all know). Why are podcasts not paid per stream?
Do they exist? Does anyone know any?
More like them talking about conspiracy theories in a mocking tone and making up conspiracy theories for comedic purposes
I’m looking for a really good scary true stories podcast that is great for driving at night. I drive mostly country back roads at night and would love something that will scare the shit out of me while driving.
I sleep listening to podcasts and when there’s a sudden loud noise or a rise in tone, it pulls me from my sleep and I need to fall asleep all over again. Please suggest a very quiet and monotonous podcast. It can be about anything as long as it doesn’t interrupt my sleep.
Looking for a funny brainless british podcast to listen to on the train on my commute to my new job. I have LOVED My dad wrote a porno (the best podcast ever), Off menu, Parenting Hell. Anyone have sth to recommend that is funny, feels cozy, does not require brain power, and the people on it are not obnoxious?
Thank you!!!
edit: thank you to all who took the time to reply, I will have so much to check out on the train!
My favorite is Piranesi so yall can guess mine too

3-5 books that you enjoyed the most since 2020
My wife’s about to turn 30, so I want to surprise her with 30 books. I’ve been giving her books for her birthday the past few years and she’s loved it so much.
She’s a big fan of chicklits and doesn’t mind if they go a bit deeper. The great Alone is her all time favorite book.
Some of the books she’s liked before:
Any suggestions? :)
Just looking for something to take my mind off my crippling loneliness so any suggestions are welcome
Edit: I just wanted to say it’s genuinely made me feel slightly less alone just seeing all the responses come in, so thanks to everyone who’s made a suggestion. Looks like I have a lot of books to add to the reading list :)
I am an atheist, and in all likelihood, always will be. But I love and respect many believers – legitimately smart ones – and I want to understand them as much as possible. Would love to hear your recommendations of which book(s) make the most convincing argument that God exists. Nonfiction, fiction, doesn’t matter. Thank you!
Edit: Before any more quasi-evangelicals slide into my DMs, I am not God-curious. I am solely trying to understand some of my loved ones better. Thank you again.
I’m 33 and living in complete isolation since 2018. Depressed, No friends no social life. 2023 was the worst year for my mental health. Also been a month now since I said a word. I’m at my rock bottom right now.
I have a right wrist RSI that occasionally causes pain if I put too much pressure on my right hand. I already had to cut stuff like first person shooters and other things that require a lot of precise mouse movement a while ago, now I’m thinking about giving my right hand even more rest.
So far I’ve found that the entire genre of vampire-survirors-likes is pretty friendly for one-handed play, but I don’t really like how uninvolved most of those games are. I also found traditional roguelikes to work as well as certain games that have similar control schemes such as Crypt of the Necrodancer.
Was curious if there were other genres or individual games that you can play mostly with one hand.
(It doesn’t need to be FPS). Similar to rdr2 killing mechanics like if you shot in the heart you will one shot the enemy.
Edit: it seems like theres no (single player) games where both of you one shot each other. Guess ill need to use mods.
Is there a game where if you put the game on hard both of you become op? not only the npcs.
Another edit: it doesn’t need to be one shot i just want a game where you need to think before attack or you’re going to get heavily punished
I really enjoy games that I can get extremely good at if I spend enough time practicing. Celeste is the best example of this I’ve played, but I liked other games such as Hollow Knight as well. It doesn’t need to be a platformer.
Preferably stuff that isn’t frustrating, heavily rng-based, or unfair.
Im thinking of how early game of thrones/the walking dead seasons where characters you thought would be for the entire show just get killed off one after another and/or the ending to devilman crybaby?
I loved Cyberpunk 2077 the konpeki heist situation and basically all the endings sucking for V, (except for the one that ends up in space being alright)
Hi. I’m looking for new game but my download speed is… you know. So yeah, what do you recommend?
