I kinda ignored the DNA for the most part, but since I used to be an avid fisherman I had some swivel links laying around…now I’m constantly doing DNAs 😆
The only thing is…the direction where you throw the slack into the yoyo, I’m constantly binding straight back into my throw hand. What is going on?!
I saw this G2 loadout pop up for sale and fell in love. It’s probably too fancy for my first real throw, but I’m going to have a blast with it. Thank you for all of the recommendations.
Longest combo I managed to land…
Just going to rant a bit about what most of us have already started experiencing. This year I have noticed a massive increase in AI podcasts infesting all of the platforms, at times making it hard to find real podcasts and episodes about particular topics among the cesspool. I am referring to ones that are completely AI-generated from start-to-finish, and many may not even realize it.
They capitalize off of the latest trends, movies, crimes, games etc. and and are able to churn out new episodes by the minute, which in turn makes them the most discoverable podcasts when users are searching hot topics.
The most believable and frequently produced ones tend to use a free AI offering by Google that auto-generates a male-female duo speaking commentary in a very realistic manner, based on the AI output of a prompt or web article you feed it. These are complete with human mannerisms like “uh, um” and vague emotions, in a structure that mimics many real podcasts.
Hey guys. I’m looking for a good podcast that is more left of center? It can be social topics, politics, etc. I don’t want it to be a 18 year old dumping on the right with no evidence or regurgitating information but actual good balanced delivery and thoughts.

I just think it’s so stupid when podcasts will be on like episode 378 and they’ll all of a sudden be like “this is the final episode of Season 36!!” but it’s not based on a season format at all until they just randomly say it sometimes?? I’ve heard a lot of different podcasts do this and I just don’t get it. Obviously there’s some shows like Serial, for example, that do follow a season format because each season focuses on something different and specific, but there’s no reason at all for like a comedy or commentary podcast that don’t even list the seasons to even say it. Obviously this isn’t a big deal at all, but it just irks me for some reason 😂 okay, rant over.
My brain is really bored at work and I need something to listen to before I die in my chair of boredom. (adding the over dramatic statement for interest lol) please recommend the podcast episode or show that made you think “WTF did I just listen to”
Anybody else feel like they listen to podcasts too much?
I have some sort of chat show with comedy or music folks riffing almost whenever I can—while doing the dishes, commuting, cleaning my room, going shopping, on a walk, on a run, resting after work.
It kind of feels like I’m using podcasts to dissociate. A big reason I have this theory is that I’m a big fan of music but almost NEVER listen to music in the same way (i.e. constantly/as often as possible). I think this is because music isn’t like, distracting enough?
I’ve noticed this, and tried to cut back, but the truth is that mindless listening makes every little mundane/difficult part of my life so much easier. It makes my life a lot easier to get through, but doesn’t really make it “richer” if that makes sense. I’ve been trying to decide if I like my relationship to podcasts, because it’s good to like something! And it isn’t hurting anyone, really. But another part of me feels like I should cut them out altogether and force …
Any era, place, person, event.
Looking for some great page turners that you can put down. Genre doesn’t matter. I just love a book where I’m super invested and I NEED to know what happens next.
My niece has a goal be a “serious reader” and wants to curate her own personal library. Which is impressive, because she struggled to learn to read for many years due to learning disabilities. She’s in grade 7 now, and typically reads at about a grade 5 level, but can manage a higher level book if it holds her interest.
She likes books written in more of a classic type of literature style. Not interested in popular fiction series, like Babysitters club. Loved hearing Harry Potter read aloud. Recently enjoyed reading the Penderwicks series, and Black Beauty. Looking for suggestions that aren’t too “teen” but not too childish either. Topics that could be of interest are fantasy, music, art, horses.
Thanks!
No restrictions on genre or form here. It could fiction, philosophy, poetry, or anything else.
I probably am going to end up watching someone play this game on YouTube, but I am still curious.
I’m not necessarily asking for such extreme violence and gore that most people can’t stand to look. I’m referring more so to tension and dread. For reference, I think Visage comes very close to what I’m looking for.
I was curious what niche games out there appear dead but are actually pretty slept on/have a decent small community. Any genre, any year, any platform.
What was the gameplay loop that kept you playing, and do you think someone new would be as invested, since nostalgia wouldn’t be a factor here.
Edit: I appreciate the suggestions, but can you tell me more about the games instead of just listing titles, tell me what aspect of the game made it worth 1000 hours
I’ve been looking for something for my wife to do while I’m at work for a while now. she likes playing games but has trouble finding them or getting into them on her own.
I suggested things like stardew valley and animal crossing which I love, but she says farming and stuff like that really isn’t the most engaging to her.
I asked about slime rancher, she says she likes it other than the fact you get too little control over how your ranch looks and is laid out, she she doesn’t like the selling plorts for profit being the main gameplay loop.
any help would be appreciated. something where she can have a cute little guy and play in her little world for a few hours every day.
I’ve played a bit of x4 and have enjoyed it, I love the vibe of a game where it really feels like you’re a person out in space/in the world doing stuff. Pretty open genre wise. Single player preferably.
I don’t have a specific game in mind so I’m open to any suggestions as long as it’s an MMO and have active player base.

Add this shortcut to your control center and use it while in any app to get to that app’s iOS settings page. It’s only 4 actions!

One caveat is that I am on iOS 26 Beta, hopefully that doesn’t matter.
I created a shortcut to measure my steps exactly the way I wanted and created a small dashboard. I’ll share the links to the shortcuts below but first a bit of explanation
Today, straightforward. It gets a count of today’s steps. 7 Days: it gets the average of the previous 7 days including today. So average of today + 6. 30 Days: Calculates an average of the previous 30 days EXCLUDING the 7 Day period mentioned above. 7 vs 30: Gives you the difference between both averages.
I really like rolling averages because they force you to be constant to keep the trend going up.

I’ve been dog-fooding LLM Shortcut Toolkit for the last three months and finally pushed it to the App Store. A few days ago WWDC showed that iOS 26 will bake almost the same thing right into Shortcuts—cool coincidence, but you can use it today.
(matches my own workflow)
Generate text with → AI …
I have litle code experience and I’m not sure if this is the best way to do this. The result is that Siri has perfect memory and can recall what was said, when it was said, and how much time passed since. JSON works a lot better than using a txt log. However it saves JSON/DIctionary into a txt file.
I built a shortcut to put text behind images, You can choose fonts, colors & more.
Here’s the shortcut link, let me know if you have any feedback
I really liked the new feature in the Structured app called “replan your day” that allows you to rearrange unfinished reminders on your list. That’s why I created this shortcut that performs the same actions and works with Siri:
- You can mark a reminder as completed.
- Reschedule a reminder.
- Remove the deadline to reschedule it in the future.
- Delete it from your list.
Try it out, let me know what you think and if there’s anything I can improve. I wish it were possible to delete the reminder without asking for confirmation, but apparently the Shortcuts app doesn’t offer that option.
[EDIT] I took some suggestions left in the comments and implemented them in the shortcut.
Tip: If you just want to skip the reminder, but without flagging it by default, just delete this action from the shortcut.
More information in the comments. Thank …
