Hey there 👋
I would like to share “Shortcut Archive” with you, it is an app that aims to collect and share the most useful and awesome shortcuts to create a strong community 💪🏼
It is currently available on the App Store at this link
Feel free to give it a try, I would really appreciate to receive feedbacks or future feature requests.
Thanks 😁
Scan Document is a dead simple shortcut for scanning documents and saving them on-device or on iCloud, etc. By default, the Scan Document action scans files to the most recent folder open in the Files app. So my shortcut, first opens the user-specified scanned documents folder and then begins using the built-in system document scanner. It’s a simple work around, but has quickly replaced a couple other document scanning apps I was using. Thanks!
Here is what the shortcut does:
Asks how many days you would like the meal plan to be for
Asks how many people to plan for
Asks what kind of meals you want (healthy, vegan, quick, cheap, etc)
Asks which meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner snacks)
Creates a meal plan based on your answers. Saves the plan to a note of your choice.
Creates a shopping list based on the meal plan then saves to a note of your choice.
Asks if you would like to save the list to your AnyList shopping list
You’ll need the ChatGPT app installed on your phone for this to work, and AnyList (optional).
The only problem I am finding is that there is a lack of variety in the meals when you do this often. I am also trying to figure out a way where it will ask if you want any edits or changes to the meal plan then adjusts accordingly. Hoping to figure that out. Please let me know if anyone has any feedback or suggestions :)
Hello everybody, I would like to share my suite of three companion shortcuts for a barebones Clipboard Manager.
The first is simply called Clipboard, which when initially ran opens a menu containing options to run all three of the clipboard shortcuts. If Clipboard is chosen to run while in the menu, it will instead open up a menu of saved clipboard items that are able to be copied after selection. These clipboard items, are essentially text files, images, etc. that have been added to a user-specified folder on-device or in iCloud, etc.
The second shortcut, Add to Clipboard, will add recently copied text, media, etc. to your clipboard folder when it is ran, or it will also add selected text, media, etc. to the folder if shared using the Share Sheet (be sure to enable it in the shortcut details section). Lastly, it has been created to be utilized as a Back Tap gesture and if ran while in the Landscape Left orientation, it will open your camera.
The final shortcut, Manage Clipboard, …
I also can’t figure out how to add/change how to make her say “Wednesday, 17th of April” for example. She only ever says the first 3 letters…?
Thank you in advance!
I’ve designed a shortcut that provides the upcoming train arrival times for your selected station on the DC Metro. It features a menu to choose from all the available stations. Once a station is selected, the shortcut uses the WMATA API to retrieve the data and presents it on a metro map, making it simple to visualize the routes. Please note, a free WMATA API key is required for functionality. The shortcut includes an initial setup prompt to assist you with the API key registration. If you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to reach out.

My favourite genre is non murder true crime, I’d love to learn about more insane true things that happened.
Trying to steer clear of deep dives into murder cases atm but if there’s some true crime-y stuff that happens along the way that’s okay.
Here are some that I really liked so far.
Runaway Princesses
Chameleon: Con Queen
Who Trolled Amber?
Svetlana! Svetlana!
Harsh Reality: the story of Mirriam Rivera
Good Assasins
In God We Lust
Operation Midnight Climax
The Gateway
The Opportunist
The Last Voyage of the Pong Su
Scamanda
Hi all,
I’ve been really getting into true crime podcasts recently and am on the look out for more mind blowing stories.
If possible I want to get away from true crime and hear more just general stories that are pretty crazy. Maybe to do with ai or the paranormal. I’m open to any. I recently listened to Ghost Story which I loved. Loved mostly that it came from someone who didn’t believe in ghosts, so found that really interesting.
I’m happy if they have a true crime element in them (most do to be honest).
Here are some I’ve listened to recently:
Sweet Bobby Scamanda Can I Tell You A Secret Ghost Story Filthy Ritual Disappearance of Nuseiba Hassan Believe in Magic
Thank you :D
*Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Set for a good while now :D
I forget it. There must be techniques or just advice on how to deal with this. I listen and find it interesting, but what’s the point if it all just fades away?
If not a serial story something with a good backlog. I’ve been listening to podcasts nearly every day for 12 years so it would be arduous to list everything I’ve already heard. Just fire it across the bow. Preferably US-centric only. Nothing against other places, I just engage my attention more easily when I have cultural and geographic familiarity.
Interests: True crime, medical mysteries, morbid curiosities, addiction stories, tragic tales, creepy stories (fiction or non)… or any intersection of those things.
Dislikes: sentimental stories, mush gushy romances, politics, comedy, audio dramas.
Thanks y’all!
Edit: Wow! Thanks for all these great suggestions, I’m going to look into everything and start with what draws me in first. Won’t take me long as I have literally 40 hours a week of uninterrupted listening time.
For fun anything I have listened to already I’ll rate how I thought it was 1-10.
I used to be a huge Reply All fan. After all of the PJ drama and him leaving, the show lost its juice and I quit.
I have really loved Search Engine and it feels like Reply All, but somehow even better at times. I got a little behind and binged the episodes I’ve missed, but now I’m all caught up and am needing another show like this to fill the void.
I guess what I’m looking for is laidback investigative journalism on goofy (sometimes serious) topics.
I know Radio Lab sorta has these vibes, but I’ve really struggled to get into that show.
If anyone has any suggestions, I’m all ears.
We see the posts all day every day about books you couldn’t put down, but what was one that you had to struggle to finish?
A book that you wanted to read because you wanted to know the subject matter or found interesting, but it felt like work to get through?
Mine is The Smartest Guys In The Room- The Amazing Rise and Scandalous Fall of Enron. I desperately want to know the ins and outs of the story but the way it’s written makes me feel like I am slogging through this thing in an attempt to finish.
ETA: dang y’all really don’t like Infinite Jest, each time I see another IJ comment I chuckle
ETA2: I didn’t necessarily mean books you DNF’d or didn’t like. Some very enjoyable books are work to get through.
Can someone recommend me a book that’s non-fiction that will feel engaging. Something that doesn’t feel slow and factual. Not self help or anything like that.. a real story
I’m not really a book guy. I’ve never read any books other than from school. Me and my girlfriend have very little in common so I was hoping to find a book or something. I don’t really like a fantasy or romantic books. I’m more for something that’s deep and real. Maybe someone that loses someone and goes on a redemption arc. I hope im not making a fool out of myself here😅. Just something that isn’t fairy land and doesn’t have to end well. If you have any suggestions feel free to comment!
Edit: I like Breaking Bad and the walking dead a lot if that helps.
You know those books that you cant stop reading and you get excited to continue again. You just cant stop reading it. I need one like that again but i dont know what , Help. I tend to like dark romance or darker themes but honestly i’ll take up any suggestions and read them . I just wanna get hooked . I love distracting myself from the world just for a bit
Edit : Thankyou everyone for your suggestions, ahhh im excited to buy some new books now
I’m not trying to cause trouble but I found a copy of The Wind in the Willows at a secondhand store the other day. I picked it up because I’ve heard so many people say how great it is and I’d never read it before. I really don’t get why it’s a classic. It’s moderately cute but a classic?
What classic or popular book has left you feeling underwhelmed?
I never liked books and I want to start liking them.
But the problem is that I never read a book in my life.
I am 17M and I like everything.
I have ADHD and I get bored easily of games and I hate it. I have been gaming most of my life I’m 42. Even games like RDR2 and Baldurs Gate 3 haven’t kept me interested. The only type of games that I’ve noticed that keep me focused over the years are games with mindless grinding and continual progression. I find it calming to do the same thing over and over while always aiming to achieve something even if it’s slow progression. I want a game I can put hundreds of hours into collecting mats, Levelling up, looting, crafting would be cool, achievement hunting, etc.
Some games I like are Siralim games especially Siralim Ultimate. World of Warcraft classic, Diablo 3 (not a fan of diablo IV).
I tired to play old school rune scape but I have such a hard time figuring it out. I like any games from AAA to indie.
I play on switch, PS5, and PC. It’s sucks because I keep buying games and my steam library and switch and ps5 are filled with games I’ve bought and played for an hour or two and …
I really like it when the game game itself is fun of course, but also when you can just tell the developers are passionate about it, instead of when the develipers kind of gave up on it, stopped fixing it, or made it a cash machine. So far the games I got on my list are deep rock galactic, factorio, rimworld, guild wars 2. Also subnautica and outer wilds. What do you think of these, and do you recommend or mention any other games? The genre doesn’t really matter :)
Hey everyone,
I want to break my usual gaming cycle and try out a game that’s unconventional and unique, far from the typical AAA mechanics that are ever-present - stupid chests with resources in the middle of nowhere, climbable towers, brain-dead quick-time events and shallow gameplay.
Give me some of your favorite unknown games that aren’t mentioned in gaming conversations.
All suggestions are welcome but I’d prefer to try out something with sub-1000 total Steam reviews. Stuff that’s niche and very obscure. Don’t just recommend Hades or Cuphead because “they’re indie”.
Thanks!
I really like RPGs like Lunar Legend and Final Fantasy. While it isn’t a RPG The Legend of Zelda is may favorite series. Imm not big on first person shooters. I have played some games in this series but not all of them ((FF X/X-2 were great).
Will be building a gaming PC for my dad tomorrow, my dad used to be a big command and conquer player (he was sad to hear that the RTS genre basically doesn’t exist anymore) and loved medal of honor back in the day (again, he was sad to hear that medal of Honor basically doesn’t exist anymore lol).
Also had to explain to him that you really don’t usually buy games in store anymore, especially on PC. He also seems a little bit confused about modern DLCs and microtransactions.
What should I recommend him, he says he wants to play shooters, but I don’t know if he’s gonna gel with fortnite and like modern call or duty and stuff lol. He says he really likes fast paced WW2 shooters.
