I still have a lot of work to do before I can share this but I threw together this little clip of my proof of concept because this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever made. It just pulls any text between 3 backticks from the most recently edited note with the “#python” tag and then uploads and runs the code over SSH. Then it collects the output and appends it to the note.
The next step I’m really excited for is saving plots. I’ve already got the pieces working I just need to put them together and I think that’s gonna make it feel a lot more like a Jupyter notebook. The only unfortunate thing is that as far as I can tell there isn’t any way to insert text into the middle of a note without completely destroying the formatting. It would be really cool if I could slot in the output and plots right after the code blocks like how it would be in a Notebook, but that’s a minor downside and I enjoy this quite a bit despite that limitation. But …
I’m trying to create this shortcut, where I select number from anywhere like Safari, Notes, mail, photos, contact And through share sheet, it will open WhatsApp and allow me to send message

I decided to make a feedback to Apple to submit a few features, what do you think about these ideas?
Folders to organize automations easily
A way to make the opposite of an automation easily and within the same automation. (So if I create an automation that turns on cellular data when disconnecting from my home wifi, having it prompt me to create one that will turn it off when connecting to the wifi.)
A way to share automations via iCloud links/make them a simple shortcut to to share it
Finally, being able to disable notifications (the example of the automation in the 2nd idea, I have it set up and it’s driving me crazy, I know I’m leaving the house!)
I am currently running an automation wherein Siri will announce that I need to disconnect from charging because my battery has reached its 80% charge. But just a while ago, it did not run. I didn’t restart it. It was only on standby mode. Do guys know what happened?
This is just something I’ve been mulling how complex would it be to create a shortcut and automation to

If you told me I’d like this so much, I would have laughed at you. Each week the hosts do a deep dive into a different disease, condition, or treatment with a little humor, real world explanations, and intelligence.
While hosts are both PhDs and epidemiologists and disease ecologists in a research setting, they are so chill and you feel like you’re chatting with your besties. They really keep the content approachable.
Each episode starts with Quarantiny Time and they offer a recipe for a cocktail based on what they are discussing that week.
Favorite episodes so far: Rabies ( had no idea how gross it is) Leeches ( yep drs still use them) Maggots ( who knew) Gout ( wild history on this one) Chicken Pox Scurvy
I’m not affiliated at all. Just a fan of the show and you should be too ( unless you’re a hypochondriac).
I won a bet against my cousin and he’s gotta listen to a podcast of my choice while running the NY Marathon.
I need recommendations on the absolute worst podcast you can think of. Even better if it’s got high pitched voices and NSFL content.
Edit: Thank you everyone for these terrific suggestions. I’m going to stitch together an mp3 with several of these suggestions - he’ll be running for 4 hrs after all.
What is the most hilarious podcast?
I go through phases of listening to podcasts, and then I go back to audio books.
I think it’s because podcasts, while casual and conversational (which is nice at times) sometimes don’t hit a production or content quality of a good book.
So which podcasts do you think are as good as a good book? Fiction or non fiction, whatever you like. Whatever format.
Currently been listening to Otherworld because I like spooky stories before bed. What are your favorite sleepy time podcasts?
I just lost an immediate family member to suicide. I need podcasts that will distract me. Little to nothing about news, politics, grief etc. The two that I will be binging already are Ologies and Normal Gossip. Anything like those I’m sure I will like. Thank you
Hello book lovers! What is a book you thought you’d like but had to suffer through, or what is a book you DNF’d almost instantly?
I am peculiar, so the books you did not like, I may just be able to read, like myself, or maybe one I will end up disliking as well but I don’t read enough yet to have a long list, but I just might with your suggestions!
It doesn’t need to be horror, just something that both upsets you or makes you squirm, but you have to continue in the hope of a resolution. I know lots of people consider page turners to be exciting or dramatic or action packed, but what’s a book that has affected you to the point that you’re just uneasy?
To add books that have given me this feeling; Never Let me Go, The Metamorphosis, Exquisite Corpse, My Year of Rest and Relaxation, We Need to Talk About Kevin
We are officially half way through the year and I’d like to hear everyone’s top favorite reads. Does not necessarily have to be a book published this year and can be listed in any particular order.
Mine are:
guys, tell me the name of the best book you read this year as of now especially having easy language and well understandable.
Any length, Any genre, Any author, Any recommendation is highly appreciated.
Thanks for your recommendation in advance.
EDIT: You guys are just phenomenal, thanks for the great recommendations.
I did NOT like ACOTAR and Fourth Wing and Cruel Prince and The Wicked and all those extremely popular books on social media.
They read like they were written by a 16 year old publishing on Archive of Our Own. They’re great for people finding a love for reading again, and I love that for them.
But I’d love something that grips me and makes my brain work.
Thank you, fellow book lovers ❤️
EDIT: I’m 30 so I think I may be too old for the books mentioned above, so I’d love some older characters too! Not a deal breaker, but I’m trying to stay away from YA!
I’m so sick of supposedly “strong female character” who constantly needs saving, is incompetent, and only has a few thoughts in their head, mainly revolving around men or themselves.
Please recommend strong female main characters who are actually strong. If they have major flaws, it’s not something stupid like randomly blurting out their plan to the enemy like a 2 year old or thinking about how hot the guy is when their life is literally in danger or being so dumb that they are unable to do basic things.
Do not recommend strong female characters who don’t use their powers or are just there to make the guy look dreamy.
A lot of the times games leave me feeling hollow, or sad, because they bring awareness to the fact that I am sat alone with no company. For example, multiplayer games or survival games etc always make me feel isolated. Any suggestions for games that feel like a breath of fresh air in comparison?
Edit:
For clarification: Im not lonely in real life, but I game alone which makes the experience itself lonely since it’s not shared with others. When i was younger i used to play with my friends all the time so we would chat and laugh etc. Now that im in university (im 24), everyone has left gaming behind, which makes it a more isolated experience .
I like games where you start very weak and end up a godlike creature. Any games that replicate the feeling of this? You would be saying that rpgs have this but not all (elder scrolls have level scaling so not the best there) and other crpgs such as BG3 and divinity original sin 2 focus more on tactical combat and not action. Another good design I would like from these games is the main q taking me to low levels areas to demonstrate how much you have grown.
I don’t want rpgs only. Metroidvania can also fit into my list.
List of games that I played and have this kind of feeling i am referring too:
Gothic 1 & 2
Metroid Zero MIssion/Super Metroid.
Castlevania metroidvanias.
My parents are abt 50 and they never understood the appeal of video games.
Lately ive been wanting to run an experiment and to have them play a videogame to see how their opinions would change.
Detroit become human is a solid contender but its wayyy to long and they wouldnt have time for that. Im looking for a story-focused game thats easy to play and that is relatively short (3-4 hours maybe?). Story is really important as theyre big fans of books and movies.
Ive considered Firewatch but i also wanted to see what you guys would suggest
I’m having a really hard time finding fast action games where you really feel more powerful after leveling. What I mean is spells getting flashier and bigger often (obviously maybe not after every level up) or weapons getting new effects like elemental effects or bigger and faster attacks. Anything that just makes you feel like you’re becoming a more powerful warrior.
Thank you in advance for any recommendations.
Usually the only reason I play a game on the hardest difficulty is if it grants you better loot chances or xp etc. Rarely do I play on the hardest difficulty just for the challenge but I’m thinking maybe it’s worth a shot.
So which games are more fun when played on the hardest difficulty?
To me an actually good moral choice system is one where the 2 choices are more than just “save the cat from a tree or shoot it with a shotgun and then curb stomp it into a paste” and where the ending still feels like an ending. The evil options almost never make sense, especially if you’re playing an established character. They also never reward you for playing a morally grey character, usually railroading you into being pure good or pure evil. The only somewhat passable one I can think of is mass effect but even then locking off certain options to high enough paragon and renegade levels is annoying. Just to name a few and why they don’t work:
RDR2: murdering dozens of people can be morally balanced by riding around saying hi to people for a few minutes.
infamous series: the evil options are so ludicrously dumb. Like killing a bunch of protestors on the street because they’re loud and annoying. Your options are either pure good or literal super hitler which just doesn’t make sense. …
