the first edit I made was like 9mins long and I don’t think anyone was interested in watching me bad for 6min straight 😂 This one captured the sweat and blood I put into this past year. Big thanks to everyone in this sub, r/flowarts, and skill addicts for always fueling the fire. I hope this keeps new throwers throwing everyday. Love you guys.
Iyoyo iceberg (new gen). Always heard good things about the iceberg, but never had a chance to try one. I see what the fuss was about. So good. I’m a sucker for anything rainbow, so when I saw this new colorway, I had to grab one. 🔥🤩
I mean, there was literally one post. It seems like there must be a subreddit that is active.
no spoilers but ugh, they have done it again - This time with a book I loved! I had no idea :-(
In other words, what podcast almost or actually had you say “WHAT THE ???” during the episode because it was truly shocking or messed up in a bad way and then which one had you almost or actually saying “NO WAY” during the episode because it was soo good or amazing?
That a least claims to be a true story?
I enjoy consuming content about fitness and healthy living in general. It helps me stay motivated, it gives me ideas what to improve and it gives me a sense of community to listen to other people nerd out about my interests.
However, so much about fitness and self-improvement content has been infected by harmful ideas like red pill, tech broness, hustle culture and other bullshit that doesn’t benefit anyone but its peddler. I would love to find some alternatives, so I can learn things and be entertained, but without supporting people who spread toxicity in our society.
Can anyone recommend me podcasts like that?
I’m currently listening to a podcast called Love Trapped and I’m on episode 6 right now.
First of all, please don’t spoil anything in the comments. I went into this story knowing absolutely nothing, and I’d like to keep it that way.
Overall, I’m really enjoying it and I’d definitely recommend it. The story is engaging enough that I keep coming back for the next episode. However, the one thing that’s making the experience less enjoyable for me is the amount of ads.
I completely understand that ads help support the creators, and I have no problem with podcasts running advertisements. But in this case, it honestly feels like a bit too much. If I’m sitting down and listening, I can skip them, but most of the time I’m listening while driving and don’t have my hands free to constantly skip ahead. It gets frustrating when the flow of the story is interrupted so often.
There have been several moments where I’ve found myself tempted to stop listening altogether and just look up what happened …
I’ve just had a run of books that are filled with violence against women (Pillars of the Earth, Lonesome Dove) and I’m getting fatigued by it.
Can you suggest any good books that don’t involve women being abused left and right? EDIT: also no animal violence. I’m too fragile right now.
Thanks in advance!
My spunky, talkative, magical friend has decided to stop fighting her cancer after months of setbacks and recommendations from her doctors not going as planned. She’s chosen to rest in hospice, and I understand, and I am devastated.
She is having trouble reading due to her medications, and being in pain while holding her head up. I mentioned audiobooks to her today and she lit up. I told her I’d come back tomorrow and set her up on Audible.
Please recommend some books I can suggest to her to get her started. She is 76, loves dogs, butterflies, is a little magic, spiritual, and hippie-minded. She is not a mother. She likes travel and adventure and people doing their best to be good people.
Please avoid any plot lines about cancer, death, or the similar. She might enjoy something about life going on though… She said today that she’d come back as a tickle on my cheek.
Thank you 🦋
Hi, I’m native (mi’kmaw) and my friend recently recommended me “There There” by Tommy Orange. It was nice to read a book from many native perspectives, but it was very sad and I related very closely to it, which made it a depressing read.
I would just like to read a book where characters are native but it isn’t the main focus of the story (which is usually the root of the sadness).
Thank you in advance!
I’m honestly kinda tired of the whole “my parents don’t say ‘I love you’ but they cut fruit for me”narrative that’s so popular with western Asian authors. Any horror novels or fiction y’all recommend? I really enjoyed The Fortunes of Jaded Women by Carolyn Huynh because it was pretty funny but I’m also a huge Stephen King fan. TIA!!
I keep noticing a pattern in the books that stay with me longest. Somewhere in the story there’s a friendship between two women that’s doing more emotional work than the marriage, the affair, or the romantic plot the book is technically about. The men, when they’re there, are almost beside the point.
A few works that do this.
Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney. Frances and Bobbi’s friendship is the actual load-bearing relationship. The affair is the plot. The friendship is the book.
My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante. Obviously, but worth saying that sixty years and four books later, Lila is still the relationship that defines Elena’s whole life, more than any husband.
Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf. Clarissa’s memory of Sally Seton outlasts and outweighs her actual marriage in every way that matters to the book.
Looking for more 📖📖📖. Especially anything where the friendship isn’t framed as a subplot but is allowed to be the …
When I was telling my mother a story about how the lovely nurses at the doctor’s that said I was ‘pretty’, she replied with, “And what about fat?”.
She has been like that all my life, not just about my weight. The way I talk. My life choices. My clothes. My books. Please suggest novels, essay collections, memoirs or non-fiction books that depict the experience of a daughter forever grieving a maternal connection she will never have and having to live with the painful experience of the mother that she does have.
Edit: Thank you so much to everyone who commented 😭 I woke up after a night of crying to all these book recommendations and your compassion. I really am very grateful that you all took time to comment. It makes me feel less alone. Thank you, fellow readers ❤️
Looking at the list of 90%+ sale games. Played most of them. These are on for a couple bucks each and need to be played. In no order:
Witcher 3
Watchdogs 2
Dishonored, the whole series is on for under $10 each. Crazy deal. I’ve played them all and loved them a lot.
A plague tale innocence
Dead Space
Metro 2033 redux
Please add to this list, Let me know what you think are some must play games for super cheap, thanks.
I’ve recently got this itch to play a game that makes me feel alone. Something that feels like Im exploring some place that’s been abandoned for years. Im not opposed to combat but I feel like too much would take away from the feeling of being alone as I would be more focused on surviving rather than my current situation. an example is the city of tears from Hollow knight. the whole vibe of that area made me feel alone, even with the enemies
So a good story has to have some movement to it, right? This got me thinking that in most games, the protagonist starts off as a “worse” version of themselves and goes on to become “better” in some ways - more experienced/renown/rich/successful etc.
But what if it was the other way around? Something similar to Disco Elysium (game), or Breaking bad (tv show) where the MC is firmly stuck on a downward spiral - be it mentally, ideologically, financially or otherwise. Any game genres will do, but please no visual novels.
Played Dispatch recently and had a blast (never started second playthrough instantly after the first one). Swearing makes characters believable and relatable in some sense, nudity and sex isn’t abused to gain attention but for humor or to highlight a feeling.
I’m looking for something similar, where anything mentioned is present as a regular part of life but without abuse.
It can be related to gore as well: if you have some military shooter that shows the horrors of war using it - shoot (pun was not intended)
Hi all
I’m a new gamer looking for recommendations.
I played PC games as a kid (Mario, Aladdin, Wolfenstein, The Sims, etc.) but then didn’t play anything for about 20 years. I got back into gaming Feb of this year, so this is my first Steam Summer Sale and I think I’m going overboard.
I’ve missed almost every major franchise from the last two decades, so this sale is kind of to dip my toes into different genres and styles and get a feel for what I might enjoy.
From what I’ve played and from the games that interest me, I think I like:
I am not looking for multiplayer or competitive games. I am also not looking for games that are brutally difficult right away.
I’m currently playing rdr 1 through Netflix, so I’m intentionally holding off on rdr2.

Charty is a Shortcuts Utility App that adds 26 charting actions to Shortcuts! With it, you can create and style area, bar, line, scatter, pie, donut and ring charts directly from Shortcuts!
Almost 6 years ago, I announced in this subreddit that Charty 1.0 was on the App Store!
r/Shortcuts has been instrumental to how Charty was built and evolved, and I’m really proud to come here again and announce that Charty 2.0 is now available on the App Store!
2.0 is a new beginning for Charty, with a more modern code base (written entirely in SwiftUI and using the gorgeous Swift Charts library). All Shortcuts actions have also been rebuilt as App Intents, making them easier to work with and ready for the future.
Everything from the latest version still works, plus a lot that’s new:
• Added a ‘What’s New’ button for updates details
• Unified layout — all content moved into a single
scrollable page
• Removed Page 2 — all sections merged into the main dashboard for clearer viewing
• Reorganized data into more logical and structured categories
• Removed unnecessary items and animations for better performance and cleaner UI
• NEW Visuals For Blue 🔵 And Neon 🟣
• Minor Bug Fixes
• Minor Changes Visual
**For full compatibility, you’ll need to install the Actions app and Toolbox Pro.

Hi there - I have a couple of lockscreen items where the action is set to ‘Show Folder’ of shortcuts and these show up in a nice view at the top of the screen - image attached. I’d like the same result when using the action button, but crucially I’d like to run some logic first (based on current app), and there doesn’t seem to be a ‘Show Folder’ action in shortcuts itself. Any ideas? Running iOS 27 b1.
Hey everyone,
Last time I shared how to manage your schedule straight from the lock screen — it turns into your wallpaper and updates automatically.
This time I want to show you a Shortcut that lets you add a schedule, a to-do, or a habit just as easily from the lock screen.
I’m an iOS dev and a dad of 11 years (well, 11 years as a dev — the dad part is what changed everything). With a kid in my arms, I just never had the time to unlock my phone, open an app, and tap through to add an event or a task. So I built this.
You add the Shortcut to your lock screen, then either type it out or say it with your voice, and the event/to-do gets added right away — and your wallpaper updates with it.
Honestly this is what let me register stuff instantly while parenting and never forget a single thing. My wife is a lot happier now.
You really should give this app a try.
