Takes a screenshot, uses markup to crop your image, then uses google lens to search for the cropped image. You can map this to back tap or the action button to quickly search for something on your screen
Self plug here, but it might be helpful. For anyone who’s ever worked with Shortcuts URL Scheme, you know it’s sorta a nightmare, so I made an app to help.
This shortcut automatically sets your wallpaper to Bing’s Image of the Day. Combine it with an automation to refresh your wallpaper daily!
How It Works: • Fetches the JSON data for Bing’s Image of the Day • Extracts the image URL from the response • Downloads the image • Sets it as your wallpaper

/!\ This shortcut doesn’t work on iOS Beta versions.
NB: I’m seeing more and more refurbished iPhones modified with software by the seller. These iPhones display a battery health of 100% even though they haven’t been replaced.
The internal analytics files and my shortcut reveal the truth !
This shortcut allows you to use a simple dictionary within a separate shortcut to get responses from ChatGPT without relying on the app, using AI Actions by Sindre, or using “get contents of URL” on every shortcut. I use this because I find it more reliable than using the other apps. You’ll need your own OpenAI API key to use it. I will post screenshots in the comments since you can only add one media type to posts.
Here is the link for a separate example shortcut to show off how it can be used.

I love podcasts on current events, finance, general takes on life, but I feel like everything I listen to has a male host. Like I love the podcast All In, inteligence squared, Ezra Klein, because they have very interesting opinions on a variety of topics from lifestyle takes to takes on current events, economics, politics, philosophy, etc.
My problem with a lot of female led podcast I’ve come across is they tend to be overly relationship or wellness/lifestyle focused, too self-helpy, and use a lot of internet speak. I would love a chatty female podcast where they give intelligent informed takes on a variety of topics.
I want a change of scenery a bit, I’m tierd of evil people and true crime, and other stuff that cause nightmares, can you recommend any nice wholesome feel good podcasts?
I absolutely loved it and for some reason, I didn’t notice until.id finished that they had so many other seasons.
What are the must listens of them all?
I’m looking for shows that aren’t part of a major network or media outlet. And shows that have less than one minute of ads at the beginning would be nice too! :)
Shows that do not include ‘host get drunk’ in the subject :) that just gets old
Hi everyone, it’s me
Maybe you’ve listened to them for a couple of years and they’ve changed. Or maybe they’re doing the same thing over and over again that you’re not really that interested in anymore.
For me it’s The Moth. They used to have a lot more ‘This is a hard thing that I went through and learned’, and it became more of an audience pandering standup inspo funny story, stretching it out for laughs.
Soundcheck is another one. I still listen to it as a way to key in on all the ‘cool new music’ that everyone says I am missing out on, but most of the music sounds like all the other music.
Throughline seems to now do stuff that I’m already knowledgeable about.
Freadonomics has pretty complex issues, that they just drag on and on. More meandring dinner conversation that curated lecture.
Happiness Lab and Hidden Brain just seem to have deviated from behavioural sciences and just gone with guest interviews. …
The guy over at literature and history just started uploading regularly again and I’m really pleased he did. This is such a good history podcast and the approach of going through history by way of its literature results in a really novel and nuanced view of the subject matter, and takes the listener to places others wouldn’t go in their podcasts. He just uploaded a wrap-up episode for his season on late antiquity, and I haven’t heard any other history podcasts that cover the subject matter. Honestly its one of my favorite things in podcasting and it’s an invaluable resource for people who just want to know history in a way that feels consequential and isn’t focused exclusively on the political developments of the era in question. If you’re curious, please go give it a listen, I want him to keep uploading. My reccomendation would be his episodes on Manacheism and Gnosticism, episodes 83 and 84. Nobody else in podcasting has covered the …
I’m looking for books that will completely blow me away. A once in a lifetime kind of book. One that I will compare all other books to for the rest of eternity.
What made this book stand out over the rest?
Hello everyone,
I’ve been feeling down for a while now, and books often have a huge impact on my outlook on life. So, I’m looking for a book that will give me hope and make me say, “Life is worth living.”
I don’t want self-help books, but otherwise, I’m open to anything.
Thank you!
EDIT: Thank you so much for all your recommendations!!
I love a book which is so atmospheric that a house is a presence, almost a character in and of itself. Only examples I can think of are The September House (Carissa Orlando) or perhaps Mandy (Julie Andrews).
Give me dark. Depressing. Gonna make me either cry like a bitch or feel hollow.
What’s your 5/5⭐️ to ♾️/5⭐️?
I wanna go on a book buying spree and I would love to know what everyone loves! Any genre, any length, even series. Thanks! 😊
Not self-improvement, self-help or any coaching bullshit.
For me, it was “Cosmos” by Carl Sagan and “Sapiens - A Brief History of Humankind” by Yuval Noah Harari.
EDIT: You know what, fuck the title. Give me top 10, or 15, or however long your list of favorites is.
EDIT 3: Thanks for the gold u/zefir_efemera !
EDIT 2: here’s mine:
(I’ve played very few games after 2014)
S-Tier:
A-Tier:
Not looking for the big games that often get recommended on here, but smaller games that are just as good but that me(and most people) haven’t already played. Thanks!
Can be any setting, but preferably space/sci-fi.
EDIT: Looks like i got A LOT of suggestions! Thank you all!
I have Steam as my gaming source right now. I can download games at friends house and stuff but my majority of time will be in my fresh new apartment where I will be living alone with no internet. I like open world games and also “on the rails” games. I’m really open to anything as long as you had fun playing it and I don’t need to be connected to the internet to play. I already have Skyrim, Witcher 3, and MH Wilds. I’ve beaten all of the fallout games as well. Any suggestions? Thanks
EDIT: I never expected this many suggestions, and furthermore I never expected so many kinds words and support, you guys are so amazing 🥲 thank you.
Any games that make you feel like an overpowered badass along the lines of Doom or Halo? Feeling the need to rip and tear
Examples I have already tried:
Star Wars Battlefront 2 (the original) - extremely good.
Mount and Blade Bannerlord & Warband - perfect for the medieval example, though I’m now craving more modern battles.
Rising Front - goofy but almost exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for more of.
Ultimate Epic Battlke Simulator - more of a sloppy demo than a game, but in the right vein.
My specific criteria - enables single player, large scale chaotic battles that give you that “oh my god I could be killed at any second” energy, controlling one soldier among dozens / hundreds. Bonus points if it has command / RTS hybrid mechanics like Mount and Blade or Rising Front.
