Hi! Soi have recently finished Bear Brook podcast , and hands down one of the best podcast i have ever heard .
The only problem now that this amazing podcast got my expectations real high , i cant seem to hook on anyother podcast
Any other same high quality podcast of that is about one true crime that you find this good?
Curiosity question, does anyone ever unfollow/unsubscribe from a podcast that appears to be no longer active (just quit putting out new episodes) or that were only supposed to be short runs? I have several that fall under both categories and every time I think about deleting them I start to think the podcast will suddenly come back from the dead and I’ll miss it.
I’m 27 and sometimes I want to reconnect with my middle school self. What are some podcasts that make you feel like a middle schooler again?
And if you can add in why they make you feel that way, it would be appreciated
I’m on Episode 76: Real Life Vampires, and I like the amount of information they provide, especially with their multi part series. But they are so crass, which I could handle. But they keep using the r-slur, they’re pretty insensitive to SA victims, and a bit racist/sexist/fat phobic.
Garbage books. Their a drag to read, boring, lazy, unimaginative, idiotic. Books that make you ask: “How the F*ck did this thing get published?”
This is a serious question, I’ve been given just a few months to live and I have a pile of unread science fiction and fantasy books. None of them are what I consider now to be must reads. I’ve reread a few favorites, looked for inspirational books, but I think other readers’ suggestions might be the best way to find a book or two work reading before I pass. I’m looking something light, or funny, or insightful. I don’t want to read about health issues, murder mysteries or other crime books.
UPDATE: Thank you all for the suggestions and kind words of encouragement. This is my first ever post on reds.it and I never expected such a big response. A couple people asked about what I already had on my list, these are a few of the books I read over the past month or so.
Pay it Forward, Catherine Ryan Hyde Have You Seen David Velez?, Catherine Ryan Hyde The Tao Of Pooh, Benjamin Hoff The Guncle, Steve Rowley Moments Of Grace and Beauty, Roland Merullo Magic Lessons, Alice Hoffman (I just …
I have realised I have nothing to talk about. What I do have is..boring. I don’t want that. I want to learn more.
What all fiction and non fiction books should I read to improve my intelligence and have a more intellectually stimulating conversations?
Edit: I appreciate all the suggestions. I just wanna add, I am not doing this so that I can be popular at parties. I genuinely want to read and know stuff.
I am fully supportive on them. I just want a book to learn more about trans people so I can help them and be in their shoes.

I just finished Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro and Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata, and I’m just loving the vibe of women who don’t get other people / don’t understand know how to be a person. I loved Amelie as a kid as well.
Ideas?
Edit: thank you so much for everyone who replied. My tbr is now full to bursting!
Occasionally I’ll happen upon a game which makes me wonder if the developer knows the value of their work. Have you ever found something like this?
It doesn’t need to be a 2D sidescroller, those were just the examples I thought of. I also already know or have a ton of games, so I’m looking for lesser known stuff here - aka no need to suggest Kenshi, Rimworld, or Hollow Knight and so on.
A nice adventure game, Syberia, is free to collect in Steam until September 29th 10:45 pm (Idk the time zone someone tell me) . It has good reviews and it has a price cut from 6.29$ to 0.00$ so I’d say it’s a good deal!
EDIT: Both Syberia 1 and 2 are FREE until the deadline
I want a game where you just parkour, no missions/no quests, no extreme hardcore parkour. I just want to relax, listen to music and parkour in a game.
Edit: thanks everyone for the great suggestions, I will try to take a look into each one. Thanks again.

Whatever genre, I like RPGs, but everything works, I want to try something new and bold, it can be relaxed or serious, whatever. Thx!
