UPDATE 10⁄15: I spoke with a developer at Apple and they want us to know that they are receiving our feedback and it will be addressed in future updates! Thanks for continuing to submit your bugs and complaints!
This community is, without a doubt, the largest iOS Shortcuts community in the world. As most of you are aware, iOS 15 has almost completely broken Shortcuts. While there are certainly some useful new features, they are rendered obsolete by the plethora of bugs and privacy hinderances introduced, including broken actions, a glitchy interface, ridiculous privacy restrictions, and app crashes, among other things.
Apple isn’t known for giving a damn about what their customers say, but I think if they get 20,000+ feedback reports about Shortcuts they’ll have to address it. Please use the link below to report every single bug, glitch, and complaint you have INDIVIDUALLY to Apple. Make sure to emphasize that you like Shortcuts, we don’t want them to remove it completely. …
Hey guys, I’ve really missed the days where Facebook was synced to the contacts app on iPhone so that things like the profile picture were updated. I decided to make this shortcut in order to replace that wonderful feature. All it does is scrub Instagram’s web page for the profile picture, I also want a version that connects to Facebook’s ‘About’ page to get extra items that people make public such as phone numbers, birthdays, and whatever else. I also want to get this working with LinkedIn because I think it would be a powerful tool for networking.
Instructions:
- Go to Instagram on your phone and click the three dots on somebody’s profile then click ‘Copy Profile URL’ (Alternatively, you can just type www.instagram.com/{user-name})
- Paste this link into the ‘add URL section in your contact
- Set the shortcut to automatically run once a day by choosing Automation -> Create Personal Automation -> Time of day …
Title is all there is to it.
Basically want to be able to activate a shortcut to play the pornhub intro to mess with other people at random times.
Mine is Across the Ages, a podcast where the host explores one subject (like tattoos, birth control, etc.) throughout history and how different cultures approached it. The host is so funny, the research is great, it’s just wonderful honestly. Super charming. It’s not well-known, but it’s just one of my favorite things.
What are your hidden gems?
The gang is breaking up. They announced it on their most recent release and it sounds very amicable and loving.
I’m honestly a bit heartbroken because it was one of the all-time greatest chemistries but I respect them both a great deal.
I’m looking forward to seeing to Mike does next. I’ll be sure to stick around to see what Sarah does with the show - wondering how everyone else is feeling about that.
I’m looking for something with preferably one narrator or one narrator interviewing someone. I really hate group podcasts where everyone talks over eachother and they tend to be campy.
I have read tons of comments saying that the user interface for podcast on Spotify is terrible, but I can’t find one comment that explains what is so bad.
Could you tell me what some of the problems are?
Behind The Bastards seems like a potentially interesting podcast but the loud, laughing fm-radio hosts are unbearable.
Does anyone have any suggestions for similar podcasts?
ReplyAll used to be probably my favorite podcasts (still enjoy the old episodes) but since the whole debacle with PJ and Shruthi, it’s really gone downhill. What used to be excellent critical, investigative and often hilarious stories and commentary about tech, internet and culture has turned into super basic overviews of how TikTok and Twitter work and just explaining what happens on social media. I’m just confused with what they’re trying to do. Maybe I’m missing something. What do other people think?
Looking for a book that will make me feel how I felt reading I’m Thinking of Ending Things for the first time, or how I imagine people who didn’t know the twist to Fight Club or Invisible Monsters felt. Looking to be shocked, enthralled, scared, confused, on the edge of my seat.
No spoilers please :)
Thanks!
I haven’t been a big reader since I was in high school about 5 years ago, but I love listening.
I really, reallyyy enjoyed Fantasticland, and The Reincarnationists Papers, and would love something similar to either one of those. I’ve also enjoyed God of War and a few other Greek Mythology books.
I’m flying to Europe tomorrow and have plenty of time to listen to anything in Audible Plus(:
For those who haven’t read a gentleman in Moscow, this is an absolutely wonderful book about making the best of the circumstances given to you.
I like to read historical fiction, but tend to stay away from fantasy, though I love lotr and Harry Potter
I know this questions is hard but think really hard and tell me your one and only favorite book just to tell you the only condition is it has to be a fiction.
My wife got me Cyberpunk when it came out but with all the problems and lack of a X-Box Series X, I held off on playing it. Now I’ve got a Series X. Have the updates and patches fixed its issues?
I tried Persona 5 and whilst it has many cool qualities I just cannot stomach playing a high schooler anymore.
I’m looking for a JRPG with mature, adult characters. Something where the female characters don’t walk around in school girl uniforms or cat suits with the camera angle constantly pointing up their skirt.
A JRPG where the protagonist isn’t an awkwardly shy high schooler with friends that are fascinated by the very presence of a female.
The Yakuza series doesn’t really can’t as it’s more of a beat em up.
I’m looking for horror games similar to little nightmares 1 and 2 and inside/limbo.
I don’t need them to be side scrollers, I just immensely appreciated that the horror from those games comes from suspenseful event encounters and creatively gruesome level design. I want to be scared by creative, linear experiences like that that do not rely on jump scares to freak me out.
Note that I’m not at all looking for survival horror. I’ve always found the resource management it intentionally stiff controls of survival horror games like RE to be very tedious. I guess if anything cosmic horror and new weird may be most up my alley, but I didn’t like Control that much and am not a big fan of cosmic horror that sticks too close to Lovecraftian roots (i.e. borrows creatures from Lovecraft lore wholesale rather than creating its own thing)
so my friend threw the idea and i believe it’s hilarious so i hope i will find one
Like ultrakill, dusk or doom but I get to be a hideous monster, unfortunate spacemen is fun but it isn’t really the game where you go on an unstoppable killing rampage
edit: *creature not creating
I’m writing a research project on Worldbuilding through Audio in games, and I’m looking for a few others that I can compare to my main examples.
The kind of thing I’m looking for are First-Person games set in unfamiliar environments that your character is just kinda ‘dropped’ into, where there is lots of storytelling and worldbuilding. ‘Stranger in a Strange Land’ kinda vibe. Ideally part of an established series, but that’s not essential
My two main examples so far are Fallout (4 in particular) and Bioshock Infinite
