Alright, Iโm not posting anything new. Thereโs already countless posts about this and Iโm baffled that Apple hasnโt been taking this as seriously as it should. You know what Iโm talking about: โone secโ, โstill on itโ, โsorry, this is taking a little too longโ. Yup, these sentences. Ever since I bought my HomePod minis earlier this year, hollering Shortcuts commands at them has been really messy, very on and off. I can still run all of my Shortcuts from my other devices just fine, but Siri wonโt cooperate from the HomePods. As those of you whoโve experienced this issue, I troubleshot all of this multiple times: iPhone network settings and device reset, HomePods reset, unplugged the HomePods, deleted from and added the HomePods back to my Home set-up. None of this ever worked, but Iโm never gonna go as far as resetting my HomeKit set-up or my internet connection as Apple support recommends. Itโs needlessly drastic and very much unlike Apple. So, Iโm asking: has anyone found a reliable โฆ
I don’t see too many recommendations for Australian podcasts within this subreddit, which gives me the impression that this gem may have gone missed by many.
The ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) have teamed up with CBC podcasts for the 2nd season of Stuff The British Stole and every episode so far has been a pleasure to listen to. Each episode looks into an artefact that is currently held in a British museum and explores its origins, cultural significance and eventual journey away from its homeland. The podcast is well produced and very easy to listen to, and I’d recommend to anyone with a curiosity for cultures other than their own.

Found this article after a random google. I don’t think it is trying to be definitive or anything.
I have only listened to 5 of these, so will check out the other 10 at some stage.

As you all know, Spotify intends to dominate the podcast market by “buying” a lot of our favorite podcasts and having them exclusively on their platform!
This has angered and sadened a lot of us podcast lovers for a variety of reason such as the crappy spotify GUI and the ads even on paid spotify subscriptions. This has been extensively discussed before here and here.
For me personally, every podcast that has moved excluively on Spotify, lost me as a listener (and for some as a patreon too). And it saddens me to see more and more of my favorite podcasts moving to Spotify.
But we, the consumers, have some power and perhaps if we do something about it, we might manage to make a change. The question is what can we do?
Honestly I don’t have an answer but let’s all together have a little brainstorm and come up with possible actions.
For example I was thinking that maybe each and every one of us can write an email to our favorite podcast creators asking them not โฆ
Wow… just binge listened to Hunting Warhead and now I need to take a shower and cleanse myself. That was quite something. Intriguing and horrifying. Highly recommended.
I just saw this on CNN. Has anyone heard it yet? It’s the audio from the TV episodes.
It’s still nice to hear Tony’s voice doing what he does best.
First 2 episodes are up. Enjoy!

It feels like there’s a podcast for everything these days but I’m interested to know if anyone has found a subject/subject/area of interest where they’d like to hear a podcast but one - or at least a good one - doesn’t exist?
I’m a scared 21 year old girl terrified that my life will be over by 25 or 30 and I like to read through my problems. Middle-aged protagonists are great too!
Even better if the protagonist remains childless/childfree or if children play a relatively smaller role in the book :)
I really love reading but lately i can’t find a good crime book. I wanna read a book written from a murderer’s or another criminal person’s point of view. Do you have any suggestions?
Fiction or non-fiction!
I’m coveleced post surgery, and really need some more escapist fiction for the next 30 days. Thanks!
Edit 2: With my extreme abundance of free time I’ve whittled your recommendations to, and in no particular order…. The Expanse by James Corey, Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky, This Bobiverse thing and 14 by Peter Clines. *cracks knuckles* - Just as a side note to all you doubters out there, I will finish these. I am a working mom, and time and quiet during the day is an enormous luxury I will not waste on anything productive! Thank you paid sick leave!
I’ve been reflecting on myself and my past for awhile now and I’ve come to realize that I’m a very cynical, indifferent, selfish person, and I would like to change that. Specifically, I’ve noticed when I’m scrolling and people are just being people and putting themselves out there, I’ll be thinking to myself that ‘oh they’re not so good at that’ or ‘I’ve seen better,’ etc. I never comment things like that, of course, and I feel really bad for even thinking these things.
I don’t know if that’s just a subconscious instinctual reaction, or if I really am super demoralizing, or maybe it’s just conditioning I can replace. In any case I would like to be better towards other people on a very base level.
Do you have any recommendations for books that might be able to teach me to be more compassionate and supportive towards my fellow humans? I’m not the biggest fan of self help, but maybe โฆ
Hi all, title says it all. Not looking for an mmo, played plenty. I also have and played to death, Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrorwind, Minecraft, RDR2, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Witcher 2 and 3, Elite Dangerous, Diablo 2 and 3, Conan Exiles, Kenshi, Ark Survival Evolved, Mass Effect series and the vast majority of the Assassin’s Creed series.
What are your thoughts? As for systems, PC preferable, but PS5 and Switch as well.
Edit: Also, played through all the Soulsborne games, Code Vein, etc…Fallout 3, NV and 4, Ghost of Tsushima.
Title, I like just walking around not really completing objectives but just seeing NPCs going about their day sometimes. I’ve played and enjoyed rdr2 and skyrim, GTA games are a bit too over the top. Any other suggestions?
Edit: Thanks for all the input everyone! I’m excited to check some of these out!
I have no genre in mind, it’s more about the atmosphere.
One that really gets it is Rainworld, just exploring the game and looking through all those buildings just sends shivers on me, and that’s the style that I am looking for.
EDIT: Just want to say thanks to everyone who dropped a suggestion, I will definitely add these into my must buy games!
Hey all,
My mom’s nearly 70 and I’m trying to find a game for her to play. She previously really enjoyed WoW and Minecraft. But she didn’t like these games for why most people played them. She just liked to collect animals. In WoW she would literally just travel the world collecting all the pets she could find. In Minecraft she would just collect and breed animals to make a little ranch.
You might be thinking simply just get her Pokรฉmon or TemTem or something, but I’ve tried and she’s not really interested in these games. It’s a combination of the open world exploration and the animal collecting. Having all the animals spawn in the world where you can see them. Especially Minecraft where she can see all her animals in a farm like setting.
I think the game specifically needs to be character controlled, where you are a person. Top-down management games like Zoo Tycoon or Jurassic World aren’t interesting to her.
Thanks for your suggestions! โฆ
Would love something like AC and Middle-earth games or even Botw where u can climb everything but isn’t the main focus like in mirrors edge. Bonus if there are open world, preferably on ps4
