Hello,
I am having a problem with Shortcuts, and I’d like to request your help.
Background
I’ve been an Evernote user for about 10 years and have been disappointed by the performance of the company’s redesigned app, which they released about a year ago. As a result, I’ve decided to try using Apple’s Notes app instead—this app seems to be less sluggish than Evernote, plus it has the benefits of deeper integration with various elements of iOS, such as Control Center and Siri.
Problem
How do I successfully migrate all my notes from Evernote to Apple Notes?
Approaches I’ve Tried to Solve this Problem
I have tried a few approaches for migrating my collection of about 2,500 notes from Evernote to Apple Notes, including:
Basically I really enjoy the old “radio show” format. Just taking in callers to talk about some subject. I know there have been a lot of radio shows over the years with this format, I’m wondering if anybody knows of any that are archived or have migrated to a podcast model.
Another one I enjoyed was the really old episodes of Coast To Coast AM, where the host took calls about ghosts and psychics and weird things like that.
Has anyone else felt something similar?
I’ve dropped every Gimlet Media series when they announced that they were going exclusive to Spotify. The writing was on the wall.

Are there any podcasts that talk about cultures from around the world? I really enjoy learning about new cultures and all their customs and stuff like that.
I am always looking for gems. WhaWhat’sts your favorite obscure Podcast (below 100 Listeners/Episode)? (Please do not plug your own products)
Mine would be
Tatami Talk a Judo Podcast by two Guys from LA
Grossdeutscher Podcast Two Germans and one Austrian talk about current topics with a focus on the internet news. (This one is in German)
I hate to say it but reply all hasn’t been the same since P.J left. I know he did some fucked up things to the staff but could he still come back? Would you listen if he did? Reply All used to be my favorite podcast, sad to say but it just isn’t the same anymore. Thoughts?
First and foremost: Thank you so much for that! :)
Some of the books I read:
Rutger Bregman - Humankind (in 2020)
Walter Isaacson - Steve Jobs (in 2019)
Marieke Lucas Rijneveld - The Discomfort of Evening (in 2020)
Mario Puzo - The Godfather (in 2021)
Kari Hotakainen - Kimi Räikkönen (in 2020)
Bernie Sanders - Our Revolution (in 2021)
I’d love to hear your suggestions for 2022! Just started today with Oliver Todd’s Jacques Brel: Une Vie (a life)
I am looking for all the trigger warnings please. Depravity, horror, unnatural acts, blasphemy, perversion, twisted abhorrence, bonus points if it’s written in a beautiful prose. Filth, but make it classy.
Edit: can’t believe I am being downvoted, art is art, people! When it comes to art aesthetics over ethics folks.
Edit deux: Some of the frequently recommended books as follows:
I’ve been super into classic books recently and would love to know what classics everyone else would recommend. I would be open to any suggestions and nothing is particularly ruled out. Thanks!
Edit: I’m blown away with how many good and diverse recommendations I have been given on this thread, thank you guys so much!
I was a pretty avid reader up until a few years ago, and I’m trying to get back into reading. I’m looking to pick up a few titles for my book list from the responses here, so I’d love to hear about what your favorite books are, and why?
I’m curious what books you loved in 2021. I thought it’d be a fun way to get recommendations. Here are my favourites, in the order I read them:
A Gentleman in Moscow
Meditations
Agua Viva
Piranesi
The Door
The Yellow Wallpaper
The Remains of the Day.
Just read “project hail mary” by andy weir and i’m so happy i picked it up. Its one of those books that remind me why i frequently try to read Science fiction over other genres. Need some similiar books with emphasis on the humor. Not that p.h.m lacked any but id appreciate more humor.
Looking for something stress free and almost mind numbing. Something with some sort of objective to it (So not like an Animal Crossing). Not looking for anything puzzle related like a Tetris.
I’m in the mood for a game where like I can just be a dick to people, it’s had to explain but I just wanna like a story driven game where my dickhead actions have consequences, something along the lines of fallout but maybe not as much of a commitment, bully is another example but that games story is pretty linear, I want my actions to have consequences but to also have fun with it.
You’d think there are a million options; Minecraft, Valheim, Conan Exiles, and a ton of others.
However, most of these focus on grinding out a bunch of resources that get progressively harder to craft, forcing you to spend more and more time gathering and refining materials, and building infrastructure, with the ultimate goal being to build the biggest and best base.
I don’t really enjoy that part. I like the *early* stages where you’re mostly wandering around, exploring and performing lite crafting in order to fuel your adventure.
For example, getting flint to make more arrows is fine. Having to gather plants and cook food is fine.
However, needing to build a Smelter to make Iron, and an Iron Pickaxe to mine Mithril, and then a Magic Smelter and a +4 Bellows to forge Mithril, and then a Storage Closet to store the Iron, and a Draft Animal to work the Mill while you’re away, so you build a Pen and grow Wheat to feed the Draft Animal, etc, really feels like a …
I really love stealth action games like the three I listed in the title. Would be great to have some suggestions! The more depth, the better - preferably with larger levels to explore or freeroam.
i have played games like minecraft and dying light but its always that night time is dangerous compared to day but i never find the opposite.
I am currently playing Yakuza 0 and the amount of mini games is quite impressive. Even though I may not know how to play games like Shogi or Riichi Mahjong I am glad that they exist in the game. I want to know what are some games that have tons of mini games in them like the Yakuza series.
