Plus a couple other things to smooth it out: Kamikaze whip, DoN ripcord, super charger hook.
I had a yo- yo as a kid for a brief time and loved it (even though I wasnāt very good at all and just played for fun) and decided to go back to it as an adult and the yo-yo I ordered and some other fun toys similar to it arrived today and I was soo exited to be able to try it out for the first time since I was a kid and as soon as I opened the box and my mom saw what was in it and just kept asking if these are for my kid nieces and nephews and I kept repeatedly having to tell her no they are for me as I used to have one as a kid and loved it and just wanted to get back into it and she just kept not taking it seriously and just spent the whole time just straight up laughing out loud at me for being into toys as a grown ass adult in my 20s.
Even after I had opened my yo-yo and was just sitting and playing with it I could hear her snickering to herself so I just told her that it was really not funny but she said Iām just laughing at someone who is in their 20s wanting to buy and play ā¦
It started with an Atmos Butterball and quickly spiraled into thisā¦.my goodness. I wish my skill matched my collection lololol.
Iām tired of listening to podcasts about politics, conspiracy theories or most importantly just meaningless conversations that end up being a time waster.
I want to listen to something I can walk away from and be enthusiastic about or inspired to dig further into something.
Hi all!!
I have just moved house and have sooo much unpacking to do and I want a good binge worthy podcast to listen too. I a bit obsessed with pods, so I probably have listened to some of the classics but here are my preferences
- True story (I donāt like fictional pods)
- A fact is crazier then fiction type story
- open to a pod where each episode is a different story.
- My preference is scam/non-violent true crime, or at least if there is violence, itās not the full focus of the story (ie I enjoy hearing about cults, so the build up to maybe a particular event like Jones town, where itās an exploration of how/why this escalated and not just about the terrible event)
- If not scams, just an truely wild story, like āthis is a wild story about Xā
What i have listened to:
- Scamanda (my fav podcast)
- The salt Path (not the book, about the lies)
- Scamfluencers
- Americas next top model true story
- The most Hated Bachelor (Love trapped)
- sea of lies
- Scamtown
- A very british Cult ā¦
Bonus points for sharing whether the bonus feed or other perks are worth it
Edit - Pleasantly surprised by how many of these I havenāt heard of. Yall have given me a ton to look into!
Im so happy new episode of fall of civilizations just appeared on my pod feed .
4 hours of heaven here I come
Hey guys!
I am a 25 years old fresh doctor and lately, Iāve been trying to swap out some of my casual comedy podcasts for something a bit more informative. As much as I enjoy listening to comedians, I often feel like I could be staying a bit sharper on whatās happening in the world.
Iām mainly looking for podcasts that cover current events, major global trends, interesting debates/themes, or general innovations (including cool stuff happening in medicine, science, or technology).
That said, I really want to avoid super formal, or hyper-academic shows that sound like a boring lecture, Iād also love to stay informed about new developments and news in the medical/health field.
I’m looking for episodes around 30 minutes to 1 hour to listen in the car but also learning new
What are your go-to podcasts when you want to stay up-to-date without putting yourself to sleep?
Hi. I love history. I love little known history. My all time favs are Futility Closet and The Constant. I’ve been looking for another one to dip my toes into, but tbh, a LOT of podcasts have the same episode ideas. I can only listen to the history of Boston Mollasses Massacre, the Emu War, Mansa Musa, the Christmas Truce, or the Donner Party so many times (1-2 times per topic). I am also NOT INTERESTED in PURELY AMERICAN HISTORY. I am not American and while I’ve found a podcast or two about obscure Wild West/Southern histories, it all blends together for me. Thank you in advance.
I try my best to read across the political spectrum but I donāt think I do it enough and given where I sit politically Iām probably not the best at recognizing talent and important works on the left.
What is some contemporary left or center-left political writing that is must read?
UPDATE: I am absolutely overwhelmed by the response here. First of all, the request was genuine, and I take your recommendations to heart. Thank you all for taking the time. I was a little apprehensive to post this question, as I was afraid that I was going to invite an onslaught of negativity. That must reflect my own bias, because most of you were wonderful and polite.
To the very small number of you who were not very nice - I highly recommend that you take the recommendation of many on here and read The Righteous Mind by Jonathan Haidt. While Haidt is a left-liberal, he does a far better job at explaining the moral foundation for conservative ideas (from a psychological perspective) than many ā¦
Every reader has that one book everyone seems to love⦠but it just didnāt work for them.
Whatās a book that gets endless praise, awards, or recommendations, but left you wondering, āAm I missing something?ā No hate, just curious about the books that divided readers. Explain why it didnāt click for you.
For me, Iād say āThe Midnight Libraryā cuz I kept seeing it recommended everywhere but I found the concept repetitive and it didnāt emotionally land for me like the way it did for others.
I liked the Nancy Drew series when I was young. now I have a craving for something similar.
Can anyone suggest such type of books please, where we have a plucky heroine solving mysteries, but with an adult theme.
Sadly I live in a country where reading books is not allowed in schools (crazy ikr?) so I never sadly read books inside of school and I stopped over two years ago in general wether outside of inside school grounds, now I just finished highschool and Iām doing a gap year to read books as books are my passion
While I lived as an expat in that country, I had my family back home in the states read books in schools and they would lend me books to read every time I was in the states for summer vacation or winter break, so I have read some books and the one that stuck to me was Anne Frank, a week ago I have reread Anne Frank and Iām really drawn by Anneās writing and her life as she lives mid genocide as a Jewish 15 year old, that book has really changed my views on certain topics and it will be forever one of my favorite books.
Ive been a reader my entire life but its usually fiction, thrillers that type of books but i do love literary fiction the most, books like bunnie by mona awad, the secret history, yellow face by rf khang, khafka on the shoreā¦i dont usually read classics or romanceā¦.so what i mean by books that make me smart is, Iām not looking for self-help books or textbooks/encyclopedias. I mean books that challenge your thinking, introduce interesting ideas, explore human nature, society, philosophy, psychology, history, culture, etc. Basically, books that leave you feeling like you learned something important or changed the way you see things.

Now Iām kind of at a loss as to what I want to read next as Iāve hit all the main ā¦
For me, itās borderlands 2. I feel like I can find something new to do everytime I get on and explore a lot.
Lately Iāve been pretty drained after work and I just want a game to chill out with. I used to play a lot of competitive shooters and tough roguelikes, but right now I don’t have the mental energy for high-stress gameplay or fast reactions.
Iām looking for something where I can go at my own pace without any annoying timers, survival meters that drain every 2 minutes, or punishing death mechanics.
Iāve already played and really loved Stardew Valley, Dave the Diver, and Dorfromantik. I don’t mind if it’s a management game, a puzzle game, or an cozy exploration game, as long as it lets me turn my brain off for an hour or two.
PC is preferred, but Switch works too. Any hidden gems or recommendations that fit this vibe?
Basically the title. My 6.5 year old started playing Roblox because his older siblings did. Well, they no longer play and heās absolutely addicted to it. He plays on the iPad and we need to pivot away from it. The problem is, I have no idea what other iPad games to have him pivot to. I know Minecraft but heās not a big fan. Every suggestion I see seems to be on a different platform and not the iPad. Any ideas?
Graphics aside, which older PC game do you think is still amazing in 2026? Bonus points if it’s something newer gamers probably haven’t tried.
Iām starting chemo on Monday which means Iām having to isolate for the next 3 months, so I decided to buy myself a PS5 as sitting at my PC for hours might get tedious.
Looking for a few game recommendations since I have no experience at all on consoles!
On PC my favourite games are BF1, Kerbal Space Program, CS2, Civ⦠quite a mix
Would like to find some good online games I can sink some hours into but none of my friends have PS5s so preferably games that can be enjoyed solo.
Thanks!
First, turn offĀ Change with ButtonsĀ inĀ Sounds & Haptics. Otherwise, Shortcuts will get the ringtone volume instead of the media volume. After turning it off, the current volume value retrieved by Shortcuts will be the media volume.
How it works:
ā ļøThis Shortcut relies on Storage, so it only works on iOS 27 and later.
āļøEnable Global Value for all storage-related actions.
In an effort to better manage a new dietary restriction, I think I accidentally built something many may find helpful.
**The problem it solves**
You’ve got a solid rotation of meals you actually like cooking ā the hard part isn’t the recipes, it’s the *deciding*. And even once you’ve decided, you’ve still got to remember every ingredient and add it to your grocery list. This automates both.
**What it actually does**
Two shortcuts, same underlying meal data:
Both pull from the same source so you only maintain your meal list once.
**What you need to set up before building it**
- A Reminders list to hold your meal ā¦
Hey everyone,
A while ago I shared the Lock Screen calendar app I made. It shows my calendar, reminders, and countdowns together, and Iāve been using it every day since.
But I still kept forgetting smaller things.
Iād put something in the Notes app, then completely forget the note existed. And some things are too small for a calendar event or a proper reminder ā like something I need to bring tomorrow, a grocery item, or just a random thought I donāt want to lose.
So I added a simple Shortcut.
I run it, type a note, and it shows up on my Lock Screen with everything else. Thatās pretty much it.
Itās been surprisingly useful. I donāt have to remember to check another app because the note is already there whenever I pick up my phone.
Now my Lock Screen has my schedule, things I need to do, upcoming dates, and whatever I just typed in.

Quick, honest update on Grabio
The earlier version leaned on a remote server to do the work.
I didn’t like that your files went to my machine, and when the server hiccuped, the shortcut was dead. So I stopped it and rebuilt the whole thing to run on your iPhone with native actions. Nothing leaves your phone now.
Download and Try : https://routinehub.co/shortcut/25430/
For downloads, I don’t scrape anything myself. Grabio just sends you straight to the best clean, ad-free site for that link, with the URL already filled in. Tap Share, pick Grabio, and you land on the right page no pop-up maze, no fake download buttons.
What it does:
An all-in-one Share Sheet button that “intelligently” tries to capture webpages, screenshots, text, files, links, and usually whatever else youāre looking at, then uses ChatGPT (or Apple AI) to clean and summarize it, then creates searchable Notes and a Reminder.
Basically, Iāve spent years bookmarking webpages, emailing myself links, taking screenshots, copying things into Notes, creating reminders, and, well, generally forgetting where I found something.
I wantedĀ one button, or at least, one WAY, to save things, in one place.
Put it all on a searchable “Share” location on my Cloud/iPhone and let the shortcut figure out the rest.
It attempts to understand the type of content being shared, captures the surrounding context, grabs whatās visible on screen, OCRs images when needed, cleans up webpages with the AI, generates a (usually) useful summary, then files everything into Notes while also creating a normalized Reminder if itās something I may want to ā¦
The shortcut shared in this post originally relied on the new Storage feature introduced in iOS 27. It now supports older iOS versions by using file-based storage instead.

ā~~~~ļøWhen you open an app for the first time, an error saying that the file does not exist will appear. You can safely ignore it ā the file will be created automatically when you close the app. After that, the automation will run normally.
The file is stored in theĀ ShortcutsĀ folder.
